Almost done!!

Published by User ImageKim under crafts, work

Yeah!  I just had to come in here and tell you all that I finally finished the front side of the doggie quilt.  Although it was not a hard quilt to make, it did take a lot of hours to cut and sew it as the entire quilt (except for the center) is made up of individual 3 inch blocks.  But, I am now so….happy that  that part of the quilt is complete.  The lady that I’m making it for is coming by today with the fabric for the back, the binding strips and the batten to go in the center.  So, once I get these materials, it won’t take me long to complete the rest of the quilt and then I will get paid for all my work.

Guess what I’m going to use the money for??  Yup, more craft supplies. lol  I just can’t get enough and since this money is completely mine, my husband can’t say a word about my craft supply addiction. lol

Quilt sample

Published by User ImageKim under crafts, work

As most of you are aware, over the past couple of months I have been trying to get my home crafting business up and running. Everyday I get more and more accomplished and I am extremely proud of myself. I know it is a little slow going, but in the end I really believe that it will all be worth it. I have had quite a few people asking me for pictures of some of the things I have been making and I am now finally prepared to give you all a sneak peak. The picture below is of a quilt that I have just recently started that I will eventually be selling on my newest craft blog and website (that’s another post another day. LOL) This picture shows you all the basic pattern of the quilt and when it is finally completed and up for sale, I will post this and let you all know when and where. I hope you enjoy looking at my latest creation.

Working from home

Published by User ImageKim under work

One of my dreams in life is to be able to work from home and earn enough income every month to meet all our growing needs. As you all know in May of this year I left my place of employment to become a stay at home mom. So far the experience for me has been an awesome experience. But there has been one drawback and that has been the lack of paycheck that I was used to having. So, I have been doing a little research around the Internet to try to find something that I can do from home to earn this income that I lost. I have found a great site over at crcsearch.net where I can get involved in a unique opportunity to be able to work from home.

What this unique opportunity involves is becoming a recruiter for a large financial services company. All the work can be done from the comfort of your own home. This is an amazing opportunity as it offers you the opportunity to work from home with free training, free leads and absolutely nothing to buy. It’s extremely easy to get involved with this opportunity is all they require for you to become part of the team is to have some great phone skills. They teach you everything else. So if your like I am and would like the opportunity to work from home, be your own boss and have more time to spend with the family, then I highly suggest that you drop by this site to see what they are offering and if it’s right for you. With Christmas just around the corner, we can all use a little extra cash, and this opportunity is an extremely great way to fulfil this need.

Blogging opportunity

Published by User ImageKim under work

If you own a blog and would like to earn a little income off it, then I have the perfect opportunity for you. I have joined a company that gives you the opportunity to get paid to blog. What this means is that you can post advertisements on your blog for a small amount of compensation. You as the blogger choices what types of opportunities you are willing to post on your blogs and these advertisers pay you a little bit of money for mentioning or reviewing their product or service. This process is known in the blogging world as blog advertising.

The company that I’m talking about is called Smorty. I have been with them for a couple of months now and I have to tell you that I’m really enjoying the fact that I can get paid for blogging. So, if you are a blog owner and would like to earn a little income off something that your doing anyway, why not check out Smorty and see how easily you can get started in getting paid to blog. Remember, you always have the option on which advertisers you want to work for so in the end how much or how little you make is completely up to you.

My home business

Published by User ImageKim under crafts, work

Now that I am currently unemployed I have been looking at ways to earn a little income from the comfort of my own home. As I am an avid crafter and enjoy making crafts for my friends and family, I have decided to try to turn my hobby into a way of earning a little extra income. So, I have been doing a lot of research on how to go about setting up a craft business in my home. While doing my research, I have discovered that there are a lot of things that I need to take into account while getting everything ready.

One of the things that I really hadn’t thought about was which kind of payments I would accept for my products. But since most of my sales will come from the Internet, I needed to find a way to be able to accept credit cards on-line. I have found a company on the Internet that can help me set all this up. Over at cardservicesales.com they will help me to get started on accepting credit cards by offering me free software, free programming and other free services to help me get started. This company is a merchant account company that offers merchant accounts to websites and stores.

Finding this company has literally been a small gold mine to me. By utilizing this site, I will be able to offer more payment options to my customers. With this added convenience of being able to order my products on-line with any credit card, potential customers will be able to make their purchases when they want to knowing that all their information will be confidential and secure. So, if your like myself and plan to start a business where most of your sales take place primarily on-line, then I would highly suggest that you check out this site and see how they can help you get started in making on-line sales.

Nice phone call

Published by User ImageKim under work

As you all are aware, a couple of months ago I stopped working outside the home and decided to become a stay at home mom (at least for the summer).  As I was employed for them for the past six and half years, when the opportunity presented it’s self, I jumped on it.  Well, today my old boss gave me a call to inquire if I would be interested in coming back.  Apparantely they have been having some staffing problems and would really like it if I would reconsider my decision about not working there.  I told her that although I was flattered, right now I had no intentions of going back to work anywhere.  But, if I decided in the future that I would be interested in going back, I would certainly give her a call.  But it gave me a really good feeling knowing that I must have been a pretty good employee if they are calling to try to talk me into coming back.

Very disturbing

Published by User ImageKim under blogging, work

Well, I just received some disturbing news from a fellow blogger.  Aparently one of the blogging companies that I work for has been involved with some fraudelent payments.  I’m not all together sure what it taking place with this company, but it sure doesn’t sound very promising.  The only good thing I can say is that I didn’t do a whole lot of work for them, so thankfully it shouldn’t affect my online income very much.  Right now as I don’t really know a whole lot about the situation, I will not post very much about this.  But, as soon as I become more informed, you will be the first to know.  I just hope this situation doesn’t turn into a free for all that affects other blogging companies that I currently work for.

So much to do

Published by User ImageKim under home, work

I have decided that now that I’m not working, I am going to take my house apart room by room.  I plan to start with my bedroom as that is the most neglected room of the house.  I am going to go through all the clothes and throw away clothes that I haven’t worn in at least a year.  After I am all finished decluttering the room, I plan to paint and try to talk my husband into putting down new carpet.  As I have been working full time for almost seven years and taking care of my three children, the really heavy duty cleaning doesn’t normally get done.  But, I have no excuses now, so I plan to take the weekend off and start on this major project the first of the week.  I can’t wait unil it’s all finished so along with this and the renovations, we will be able to put the home up for sale.

The countdown is on

Published by User ImageKim under family, work

Well, after almost seven years at my place of employement in just five short days I will be finished.  I have decided to take a little time off (especially the summer) so I can devote more time to spending time with my family.  It was an extremely difficult decision to make as I have been there for a very long time.  I am a waitress at a very busy family restaurant, and I have met and got to know a lot of wonderful people during my time there.  When I finally made my decision and told my boss of my choice to leave, I was a little sad.  But, as the day of leaving fast approaches, it does get harder each day.  Last night, I told four different customers of my decision and two of them want me to let them know if I end up going anywhere else so they can follow me.  One customer gave me a hug.  So, it is because of these wonderful people that I do feel sorry that I’m leaving.  But, not sorry enough to stay.  For once the family has to come before the job and the children would be very disappointed if I told them I had a change of heart.  So, I will not be changing my mind, but it sure is difficult.  More difficult than I originally thought.
