I absolutely don’t want to go to work tonight. After having an entire week off work the thoughts of heading into the building tonight does not leave me with a warm and fuzzy feeling. But it’s my shift so I guess I’m going to have to go. I just hope my boss hasn’t decided to pile of lot of extra work on me like cleaning the pop displays. I’m not in the mood to do anything extra tonight. Seriously, I really only want to get in, do my shift and then come home.

Last night I went in to start my shift at work and was quite surprised to see my boss still there. When I asked her why she was there, she informed me it was because we were expecting a famous person to come in for supper. Well, the premier of NB came in to have supper at our restaurant. I had never served somebody like that before so this was pretty cool. Him and his party of people were very nice and actually quite a lot of fun. So that was my excitement for the evening.

I don’t know how much blogging I’m going to get done over the next few days. I am really busy with files pertaining to 7-dfbx in my general transcription work. These files are on a strict deadline so anything else just kind of has to be put aside for a little while. I really hope that I get some time to pop in here and visit soon, but if not I guess you’ll all know exactly where I’m at.

Man I am so far behind on my computer work, that it really isn’t that funny. Between working a lot outside of the home this week, plus having a sick kid home all week I haven’t been able to accomplish the work that I wanted to on my computer. I’m just thanking my lucky stars that I don’t have to write any reports or articles on mesothelioma lawyers this time around. I’m sure that I will get it done eventually, but it is kind of overwhelming for me to look at all the work I still have sitting in front of me.

Well once again I am swamped with a pile of work that I need to get done on my computer and since I still have to work shifts at the restaurant where I work at, I honestly don’t know when I’m going to get all this extra work done. I have to re-write a couple of articles on maxoderm, finish a transcript that is a couple hours long and try to get some blogging time in as well. Some days I wish I were two people and today is one of them. But like every other time I’ve been swamped with work, somehow I get it finished. So I’m sure I will this time as well.

At my place of employment, I normally don’t do any split shifts. The reason for this?? I hate them. They completely mess up my day. But today and for the next four Thursdays I have to do them. Today I have to go to work at 12:00 and work until 2:00 then go back and work from 5:00 to 8:00. This is such a waste of a day. I guess I’ll just keep my uniform on after two, yeah Prada shoes and all and then head back out the door for 5:00. Man… I can’t wait for the next month or so to be over. Then I will be off these stupid split shifts and life can get back to normal.

As you all know, I do a lot of working from home activities on my computer. Well, one of the companies that I work for is sure making me work this weekend. Early this morning I received an e-mail stating that they wanted 20 articles written for them by Monday morning. Now normally this wouldn’t be a problem, but with key words such as glucosamine sulphate, it’s going to take me a lot longer to write these articles. I’m going to have to spend a lot of time researching before I can even begin to write. Some days I just love the fact that I work from home. But on days like this, I really have to wonder what I’ve gotten myself into. Oh well, I’m off to writing. See you all soon.

Boy did I ever put in a busy night last night. Honestly it seemed as though every one that lives in our area decided to come out to eat last night. The door to our restaurant never stopped opening. It was so busy that I actually had to stay an extra hour and a half past my shift to clean everything up. At one point in the evening I even considered buying an oximeter just to make sure I was okay. Thank goodness these types of nights don’t happen every night. It was a really good tip night, but I sure earned every penny of it!

My husband has been working for the same company for the past 12 years. For the most part, he really hasn’t been happy. But because it’s a nice steady and stable job, he refuses to look elsewhere. He just comes home and rants and raves to me about the job and then the next morning he’s off to work again.
Last night he had a staff meeting, and he came home just ranting. Apparently they are changing the dress code at his work and expect him to go out and pay for a new uniform. To say that he was not impressed, was an understatement. I guess he figures if he has to start paying for uniforms, then they are going to make him pay for other stuff as well. Can you imagine having to fork out the money for a super pump 250 or a generator? But instead of saying anything to his employer, he leaves the meeting and crabs to me about it. Oh well, I’ve done this for 12 years and I expect I’ll be doing this with him for another 12 years.
