It’s hot!!

Published by User ImageKim under general, life

Today our temperature went up to +29 degrees. I’m not sure what that is in celsius, but I do know that this is hot!! With temperatures like this a person really doesn’t need to go out and purchase any diet pills. Just sitting out in this heat would help them lose the weight they want. It’s so hot out today, that the kids were unable to stay out and play very long. It is going to cool down later on as we are expected to get a thunder and lightening storm. So relief is in site. I just don’t know when.

I live in the country

Published by User ImageKim under family, life

I was born and raised in a country atmosphere and I vowed that when I became a mother, my children would grow up in a more active community. It’s funny how our ideas and values change as we get older. I tried living in the big city and hated it. So I moved my family out to the country and have never been happier. There are some pros and cons to living anywhere. Where we are at we are quite far away from a lot of the stores where I like to shop and your pretty limited as to what kind of job you can be employed at, and with so many trees around our area, our cell phone service is quite horrible. But with cell phone amplifiers we have kind of taken care of that particular problem.

But the pros of living in the country is the air is a lot cleaner, the crime rate is down and the kids don’t seem to get in as much trouble as other kids their age that are living in the city. I would have to say that at this point in my life the pros of living in the area where we are at far outweigh the cons. I don’t know if my children would agree with that statement, but as long as their the kids and I’m the parent they will just have to deal with it. lol

I’m watching too many commercials

Published by User ImageKim under general, life

Last night I had the most bizarre dream that I think I have ever had. I dreamt about vacuum cleaners. The Dyson brand actually. I don’t have any carpets in my home and don’t have a vacuum cleaner so I’m not real sure where this dream came from. I have narrowed it down to two possible reasons. Reason number one is that I’m watching way to many commercials and reason two could be that because I don’t have any carpets, I want them. Who knows?? Hopefully tonight I will either not dream at all or my dreams will be of a normal nature.

Daniel and his friend

Published by User ImageKim under life, kids

My youngest son (soon to be eight) is very shy. When I say shy, I mean shy. When he was younger he used to hide under tables so that the waitresses at my old work wouldn’t see him. He is not quite as bad now, but he is still quite shy. But when he makes a friend, he makes this friend for life.

He has a little friend who is a year younger than him and they play at the bus stop every day. But if this friend isn’t at the bus stop for some reason, Daniel won’t stay. And if Daniel isn’t at the bus stop his friend won’t stay either. His little friend has been sick for a few days so he hasn’t been at bus stop. So Daniel goes home. But since they miss playing with one another his mother is going to bring him up to the bus stop when Daniel gets home just so they can play for a little while together. I really hope these two continue their friendship over the next few years because they are such good friends now and Daniel is quite shy when trying to make new ones.

Interesting TV show

Published by User ImageKim under health, life

Last night my husband and I were watching a TV show about celebrities and their troubles with weight losses and gains. It was quite informative. One expert stated that celebrities like Oprah and Janet Jackson are damages their bodies with their quick weight loss methods. They state this is because of the yo-yo effect of all these diets that they have been on over the years. I’m pretty sure these facts would hold true any human, but they were using celebrities as an example. Did you know that if you lose, gain, lose then gain again, you can add up to four years of deterioration on your body? The most important fact that I took away from this show is that any person when trying to lose any amount of weight needs to do it slowly so they don’t do major damage to their bodies later on down the road.

Where did spring go??

Published by User ImageKim under life

For the past few days I really have to wonder if Spring just got up and walked away. Lately we have been having seriously cold temperatures every day and the high winds have been constant. It’s days like today that I wish I could just hop on an airplane and fly myself down to the Caribbean. They have so many enticing Caribbean villa rentals that when the weather around here is crappy, it gets my mind to thinking about faraway lands. But since that isn’t going to happen any day soon, I either have to get used to this bitterly cold temperatures or just stay in my house until it warms up.

Credit Card club

Published by User ImageKim under general, life

Now that I have had my credit cards for a couple of years and have started building up pretty good credit, I have decided that it’s time that I look into possibly getting another one at a lower interest rate. Now, don’t worry if I do get another card, it will be to replace the cards that I currently own. When I first started looking for credit cards I didn’t have any credit to speak of so I pretty much had to go with the ones that I did. But with my better credit rating, I’m thinking that I may be able to go with a card that has less interest on it.

I have found a site over at creditcardsclub.com. This site lists all types of credit cards and all their advantages and disadvantages. They have actually set up a different credit cards rating for each card listed on their site. They have done all the research and leg work so that I don’t have to. They list all the different interest rates and any rewards associated with each and every card. This is a great site to find the perfect card that I’m looking for and with all the information located in one place, my search for a new card has been made a lot easier.

Young people today

Published by User ImageKim under life, kids

It’s an awful shame how some young people today are just throwing their lives away.  I was just talking to a friend of mine who’s daughter has gotten herself in a world of trouble all because of drugs.   I honestly don’t remember my generation having as many troubles with drugs as the kids these days are. It’s a good thing that more and more drug rehab centers are being built because I honestly think we need them all as well as a few more. I felt bad for my friend, but the only thing I could do for her was sit back and listen. Hopefully her daughter will see the error of her ways and try to straighten herself out.

Games, games and more games

Published by User ImageKim under entertainment, life

Although I am an almost 40 year old married woman, one of the things in life that I just absolutely love doing to unwind from a very long and stressful day is to play Online Games. I usually play the ones that give you a free trial period and then if I really like the game, I will purchase it. I have only purchased a couple this way, but these are the games that I really enjoy playing so I don’t mind spending the little bit of money it costs to purchase. This way I can play my games anytime I want to. Having said that, I am always on the lookout for different sites which offer online games to play.

I have found a pretty neat site over at arcade.itch.com where I have found a lot of games to try out. They have a wide variety of games to suit all types of gamer’s needs. Not only can you find games such as car racing, but you can also find games such as the Random Defense. All these games are free and offer the player the chance to play against other players as well. Registration is free, quick and easy and as soon as your are registered, you can then go into the site and play any game that you would like. So if you like playing online games, especially free ones, then I highly suggest you check out the site. All you need to do is register and then let the fun begin.

Those annoying telemarketers

Published by User ImageKim under general, life

If  your a telemarketer, then you first of all let me say I’m sorry in advance for the rant I am about to take, but these types of phone calls really need to stop!!  I have had one guy constantly calling me to upgrade my cable service.  I really have to wonder which part of NO he doesn’t understand.  I just spent the last twenty minutes saying “No thanks, I’m happy with the service I currently have”.  Well apparently that wasn’t the right answer for him as he kept saying “I know your happy with the service, but it’s FREE for the first year”.  Yeah, I heard you tell me it’s free 50 times now, but still not interested!

How many times do I have to say NO before they get it?!  End of rant….
