I can hardly believe that there is less than two weeks left of the kids summer vacation. I for one am very pleased with this, but my two kids not so much. My daughter is looking forward to going back to school sort of, but my youngest son not so much. So I have a lot of work that I need to get done before these final two weeks are over. I still have a few supplies to purchase for them and will need to start buying stuff for their school lunches. But the time is slowly coming to an end. So in about two weeks time I will be one happy lady.

My daughter absolutely loves school. So for her to be home for nine weeks this summer is kind of driving her crazy. So I decided to see if I could find her something to do that required learning. Well I discovered a site online where she could participate in some sat prep courses. I thought this was a great idea. Not only will she be able to have something to do with her down time, but the learning she will be able to engage in will certainly help her down the road. This is a perfect site for anyone who is interested in getting ahead in their educational pursuits.
In a months time my daughter will be turning 12 and my son will be turning 10. So I have decided that it’s about time that they start helping me around the house. So for the past week they have been doing the dishes and earlier this morning I got them to fold the laundry. Now if I could only get them to clean their rooms. They like helping me with the household chores, just not cleaning their rooms. But at least I didn’t have to do the dishes or the laundry today. This gave me extra time to clean out my bathroom. I can’t believe how much old stretch marks creams, vitamins and lotions that I ended up throwing away. But at least I don’t have to do the dishes any longer.
Well I am happy to report that I last through my first week of school vacation time. Actually this past week wasn’t as bad as I had originally thought it would be. There was barely any fighting and I didn’t even have to check online for cheap funeral costs (just kidding). If the next eight weeks go as smoothly as this past week did, maybe by the time the two kids go back to school I won’t have to check into a funny farm. Finger’s crossed!
This is the kids final week of school. So that means it’s my last week of peace for a little while. They go full days all this week and then on Friday they come home after half a day. Then the fun begins. I still have to find some toys for their grading presents. So… I’m going to enjoy this week. I’m going to try to get quite a bit of things done because I know I will be spending most of my summer breaking up fights and not getting a whole lot of anything else done.
Oh boy! My two kids aren’t even out of school yet and they are already driving me nuts! All they do is fight so I’m really thinking by the end of the school vacation season I’m going to be completely looney. I really do think the least of my worries this summer will be finding the best acne treatment money can buy. If, and I mean if I survive this summer, I will then worry about myself and any blemishes that I may encounter. Wish me luck!
The kids only have five weeks of school left this year and I for one couldn’t be happier. This year has been pretty brutal for kids and their homework and I am getting so tired of all this homework. I’m sure the kids are too. I couldn’t believe the amount of homework my daughter brought home this year and she is only in grade 6. Hopefully next year there won’t be quite as much and I won’t have to spend every night of the week fighting with these two kids to finish their homework. I can’t wait for these five weeks to be over!
Tomorrow my oldest son will be turning 21. Holy crow where does the time go?? It certainly doesn’t seem like 21 years ago I gave birth to this man. Currently he is over six feet tall, so for me to look back and remember the tiny little baby that he WAS is a little overwhelming. It’s been a great 21 years and I am extremely proud of him.
So this post goes out to my son. Happy Birthday kid, hope you have a great day!
I have spent the last two days frantically searching our area for a spring coat for both of my kids. Now this might not sound like an impossible feat to you folks, but let me tell you, it is. I have stumbled across a large amount of baby clothes and baby coats, but honestly no spring coats can be found in my area for my 9 year old and my 11 year old. For the past couple of weeks these kids have been wearing sweatshirts to school so I guess that’s what they will have to continue to wear. I hope I find these coats soon.
Well I think I’ve finally got one of the kids on the mend once again, but the other one is still home sick. I decided to keep her home today as I figured she would just get to school and be calling me any. I really don’t mind having her home as she never, ever fakes being sick (loves school) so for her to want to stay home, I can honestly say she must be sick. Having one home isn’t too bad, it’s when their both home and both sick that life can get hairy. Hopefully a day of rest will help her out and she’ll be ready to go back to school tomorrow.
