Holy smokes, where has the time gone? Normally I find time seems just to drag on but not this year. I can’t believe it’s May first already! The kids have been in school for over nine months now and only have about seven weeks left. That doesn’t give me much time to get things done before they are home for their summer holidays. But it will be nice to not have to worry about projects like designing national pool tile like my son told me at the last minute that he had to do, or to worry about running around to debate and Reach for the Top tournaments for my daughter. So for the next seven weeks I’m going to try to get everything done that needs to be done while their in school and then I’ll be able to enjoy the nice long summer with them. But by the way time has been flying by, these next seven weeks will surely seem to fly by as well.

Here it is April 5th and we are expected to get snow. Oh… I know it won’t stay but honestly when is spring really going to arrive?? Right now we are experiencing winter like temps outside and are expected to get some snow. I thought spring was already here but I guess I was wrong. Yeah, I know I complain about winter a lot but for some reason this year winter seems to have gone on forever. So goodbye winter and hello spring hopefully soon.

This post is kind of ironic. Yesterday was the first day of spring and we got hit with a snowstorm so hard that the children ended up being home from school for the day. Now how’s that for irony? But today the sun is shining so hopefully today is the true sign of spring. Yes we did get hit with a lot of snow but hopefully with the sun out as bright as it is today it will get rid of a lot of it. Oh well, I guess mother nature is the only one that knows when Spring will truly have sprung.

Normally this time of year goes pretty slowly but I’ve got to tell you all that this year the time is just flying by. I honestly can’t believe that we are already in the middle of March. This means the kids really only have about three months of school left. So… this also means that spring is just right around the corner. Right now it’s beautiful and sunny out but still very cold. Next week we are expect to get another huge storm but hopefully that will be the end of our winter season. I honestly can’t remember when time flew by so quickly. Before we know it summer will be here.

Well the clocks sprung ahead this weekend and let me tell you all, I’m sure feeling it. In the Spring we always lose an hours sleep and that does affect most of us in a bad way. So today I’m still pretty tired even though I got a pretty good night’s sleep last night. But on a brighter note, daylight savings time also means longer days of sunlight. So… I’m going to have to try to find my ray ban cats 1000 so I can enjoy all this extra sunlight to the fullest. After a few days I won’t be tired all the time and then will be able to appreciate the fact that more sunlight means spring and summer is definitely on it’s way.

I’ve told my husband that I think we are almost done with this Christmas shopping, but apparently he has different ideas. If he had his way, he’d still be shopping on Christmas eve and knowing him, this is probably what is going to happen. If the money keep going out like it has been, I think I’ll have to looking into carpet cleaning apex nc for a job just so we can pay for all these extra purchases. The kids know I’m not working this year and money is tight so I really do think they’d be okay with the stuff we already got. But… I guess my husband isn’t done quite yet. Oh well, Christmas only comes once a year so I’ll let him be and let him have his fun.

My husband has been at the children and I to make up our Christmas lists. The children finally finished theirs earlier in the week and last night I finalized mine. Currently I have an iPhone 4 and absolutely love it. So I have been seriously checking into the new iPhone 5. During my research I discovered that I can get a otterbox commuter iphone 5 if I have an iPhone 5 and I really want this! This item is number one on my shopping list and if it’s the only thing he purchases me I will be one happy lady. I absolutely love the iPhone and think this would be a great addition to my cellphone addiction.

We are quite lucky in the area that we live in. We have been having quite a bit of rain and wind but so far no real damages with this major storm that is hitting the US and parts of Canada right now. We are supposed to get a lot of rain over the next couple of days but I still don’t think we’ll see as much destruction has they have been witnessing in the US. So although the weather is crappy right now, I thank my lucky stars that I live where I do and that all we will get is some rain and wind.

After two weeks of having at least one member of the household home sick I am finally alone! I kind of forgot what the peace and quiet sounds like. It sounds heavenly! But it will not last. Tomorrow is the weekend so everyone will be home all weekend so I really do have to appreciate today. As soon as I’m done all my housework I’m going to sit back, do some research on Nexx XR1R, and possible play some computer games. Then I think I’m going to have a nap. It has been a very long two weeks so I’m going to enjoy this day as best as I can.

For the past month or so we have been doing some major searching around to see if we can find a small dog to become our family pet. So far we have been unsuccessful in our efforts but I haven’t given up just yet. If we wanted a horse we could have had one by now and been able to look on TheEquestrianCorner.com for saddle pads but there really isn’t a whole lot of small dogs around in our price range. I know we will eventually find one, but this searching is really driving me crazy. I hope when we do it is a boy dog as I already have a name for him… Henry.
