It has been a long two weeks! The week before last my husband was home for a week on holidays and last week the two kids were home on March break. Needless to say, nothing has gotten done around here during that time. I wasn’t able to get a lot done on the Internet or a lot done in the house during this time. Well, I am happy to report that the family is back where they should be! My husband is at work and the kids are both in school. So I have decided that today I’m going to take a “me” day. I’m going to surf the net to find some adorable birth announcements for my niece, going to get some groceries and then just do whatever I feel like! Tomorrow I will get back on some type of routine, but for today, I’m just going to enjoy the quiet.

My husband has been working for the same company for the past 12 years. For the most part, he really hasn’t been happy. But because it’s a nice steady and stable job, he refuses to look elsewhere. He just comes home and rants and raves to me about the job and then the next morning he’s off to work again.

Last night he had a staff meeting, and he came home just ranting. Apparently they are changing the dress code at his work and expect him to go out and pay for a new uniform. To say that he was not impressed, was an understatement. I guess he figures if he has to start paying for uniforms, then they are going to make him pay for other stuff as well. Can you imagine having to fork out the money for a super pump 250 or a generator? But instead of saying anything to his employer, he leaves the meeting and crabs to me about it. Oh well, I’ve done this for 12 years and I expect I’ll be doing this with him for another 12 years.

My father in law’s wife really, really ticks me off. I really can’t take her on a good day. But this weekend she made me so angry that I informed my husband that I have no intentions of ever stepping foot in her house again. I feel bad for my father in law over this. But you know what, he married her, so he made his choice. I’m still so angry about the events that happened over the weekend that I still can’t talk about it. If my husband wants to go see his father and take the kids, that’s up to him. But it’s safe to say I will NOT go into her house until I hear a sincere apology out of this woman’s mouth.

Although it’s only February, it’s never to early to be thinking about summer. This past winter my husband has put on a lot of weight and last night he mentioned that he wants to have all these extra pounds off before the summer camping season hits. Well if he is going to accomplish this, then he really needs to start looking at the most effective diet pills now. He wants to lose about 20-25 pounds and doesn’t think he will be able to do this without a little bit of help. So… I’m trying to talk him into going to the doctor so maybe he can prescribe him something safe. Hopefully he achieves his goal. I’ll let you know.

For the past couple of years my husband has been having trouble with his weight. He has gained quite a bit and has been trying to take the extra off. Well last night he came home with what he thinks is the best weight loss drink available these days on the market. So he’s going to give this a try. He has tried pills and different types of diets with limited success. So he has decided to try something different. I don’t know if this approach will work for him, but hey, it won’t hurt right. I’ll let you all know how he makes out.

Congrats needs to go out to my husband’s nephew and his girlfriend. Yesterday they welcomed their second child into this world. They named their little boy Zakk. So congrats guys and we will be up to see you all real soon.

During the month of October my husband was awarded the safety employee of the month award. This is something new that they are doing with his company and he was the first employee to receive this award. Apparently they look at things like proper use of safety products , and the fact that he’s been employed there for over 11 years with absolutely no accidents. And the best part of this award was the cash bonus he received in his paycheck! So I guess it pays to work safe not only for your health, but for your pocket book as well.

One of my cousins called me last night quite excited. Her and her husband are planning on going on their very first ski vacation. Now I am happy for her and excited for her, but it’s a little difficult for me to get excited about a ski vacation as I live in Eastern Canada and we get way to much snow for my liking. A ski vacation would certainly not be on my list of things to do. But since she lives in California, I guess I can understand her excitement. Now if she told me she was going on a cruise, I could probably get a little more excited about it for her. LOL

My husband is so funny. Every time he learns something new, he always feels the need to share. He will even share little facts about things that I have absolutely no interest in at all. Last night he decided to share all the facts that he recently learned about a MWF filter with me and I really can’t tell you how disinterested I was. But I guess it beats him sitting around the house and not talking to me. But I really wish he would decided to share some knowledge on things that do interest me.

Well my younger brother, who is turning 40 this year had a minor scare yesterday. He thought he was having a heart attack. Thankfully it turned out that this little scare was not quite as bad as we all thought it was, but it sure was an eye opener for him. He has decided to start living a healthier lifestyle. The first thing he has decided to do is look for the best slimming pills that he can find. If he looses a few pounds, he’s hoping not to have this particular scare again. He also plans on joining a gym and trying to eat healthier as well. Hopefully he sticks to his plan and we have him around for a very, very long time to come.
