One of my cousins called me last night quite excited. Her and her husband are planning on going on their very first ski vacation. Now I am happy for her and excited for her, but it’s a little difficult for me to get excited about a ski vacation as I live in Eastern Canada and we get way to much snow for my liking. A ski vacation would certainly not be on my list of things to do. But since she lives in California, I guess I can understand her excitement. Now if she told me she was going on a cruise, I could probably get a little more excited about it for her. LOL

Well if your looking for that perfect gift for any man in your life, then I’ve got the perfect gift for you. You could always purchase them Spring Airsoft Guns. These Spring Airsoft Guns are perfect for the young as well as the young at heart. My youngest son would love a spring airsoft gun of his own to be able to go out and enjoy a fun little sport with his father. My husband has his own gun airsoft spring and has a blast with it every time he goes out with it. So for all the men in your life, seriously think about picking up some spring air soft guns and watch their faces light up.

Yesterday one of my neighbors came up the street with a couple of Kid Birthday Party Invitations for her two year old’s birthday party next week. Well, my kids are eight and ten, so I was kind of thinking that they are probably a little too old to be attending a party for a two year old. But the kids seen the Kids Birthday Invitations and decided that they really want to go to this party. I think they just want to go to any party and because they received the invitations, they feel they should attend. I still haven’t decided if there going or not. I guess I’ll wait and see what else is going on that weekend.

Thank god for the local classifieds in our area. Last week my son’s PS3 player broke. Now as you all know, that’s a pretty expensive game system to replace. But after checking around to all the stores in our area, we discovered that not one of them fixes PS3 . Thankfully we knew what was wrong with the unit (he accidentally erased the hard drive), and knew that we needed to buy a new hard drive for it. So we started scouring our local classifieds and were very lucky when we found a guy selling the hard drive out of his game system. Now all we have to do is get someone to put it in and reformat it. But soon hopefully my son will be playing his game again.

Now that the days are getting warmer and longer, it has gotten me to thinking about summer and the type of vacation that I would like to take with the family this year. I would love to be able to go with the family to the Outer Banks but due to financial reasons, I really don’t think that this would be possible this year. I think we will probably end up doing a lot of local camping this year. We already have the trailer and if we go to local sites, we won’t end up spending a lot of money on gas. So, we will probably save our money and possibly go on a more exciting and expensive trip some other year.

Well we had a very interesting day yesterday. It was the first day, in the history of our house, that we all sat down as a family and watched the Daytona 500 races. My youngest son has just started to develop an interest in car racing and my husband thought it would be fun if they sat and watched the races together. Well because they were watching the races in the living room, my daughter and I decided that we would join in on the activity. So we all got our drinks and snacks and got prepared to watch the big race. My son got a huge kick out of the races and was extremely disappointed when the race was called early due to rain. They had so much fun that my husband and my son have decided to make this an annual event. Me, I think I’m going to find something else to do next year when the big race comes on TV. I’m not a really big car fan, but it was nice just spending this extra time with the family.

Well I thought I would give you all an update on how my employment situation is going. Well I’ve been back for a couple of months now and I have to say that I absolutely HATE it!! I really really do. I have made a decision about leaving. I have decided to leave there around the first of June. The reason why I have picked June is because we really don’t do a whole lot of stuff as a family in the winter so I do have the time to continue to work on the weekends. But when June hits we do a lot of camping and golfing with our Callaway golf clubs and I refuse to mess up our summer camping season for a job that I hate. So until June I’ll just try to stick it out. Hopefully I can make it that long. I’ll keep you posted.

Happy Friday Glitter Graphics

Well it’s Friday. So yes, you all know what that means. The weekend is finally here. So what are you plans for the weekend??

Saturday and Sunday I have to work from 5 to 9. Not too bad. Only four hours each day. Sometime during the weekend my son who is in grade 3 and I have to start his Science project and hopefully finish it. Saturday afternoon my daughter’s friend will be coming over for a sleepover so I have to make sure that both the kid’s rooms are spotless. So I think it will be a fairly busy weekend around here.

So if I’m not able to pop back in here and post, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I will see you all again around the first of the week.

In less than two weeks my father in law will be walking down the isle to get married. By the looks of things, my husband and I will be the only ones attending this event. One of his sisters has to go in for hip surgery on the 20th so she won’t even be out of the hospital in time for the wedding and the other sister won’t be attending as she lives about 1000 miles away and just can’t afford the trip home this time of year. She did send him a gift card for an HDMI splitter as a wedding gift so I guess that’s the best she can do at this time. I still don’t know what my husband and I are going to buy them, but we will at least be at the wedding. We have to be. My husband is the best man.

Every morning my daughter wakes up and then informs me how many more days until Halloween. She is now 10 and I would have thought that she wouldn’t be as excited about this event as in past years, but she is as excited if not more excited than in previous years. My 8 year old son doesn’t seem to be as excited as her.

Last night she was going on and on about Halloween and my son wasn’t joining in the conversation. So I asked him what type of costume he would like and he informed me that he didn’t know if he wanted to go out this year. When I asked him why, he then stated because his old Superman costume doesn’t fit him any longer. When I explained to him we could buy another one he was then excited to go out for Halloween. Well the countdown is on and there is only 12 more sleeps to go!
