Yeah! I just had to come in here and tell you all that I finally finished the front side of the doggie quilt. Although it was not a hard quilt to make, it did take a lot of hours to cut and sew it as the entire quilt (except for the center) is made up of individual 3 inch blocks. But, I am now so….happy that that part of the quilt is complete. The lady that I’m making it for is coming by today with the fabric for the back, the binding strips and the batten to go in the center. So, once I get these materials, it won’t take me long to complete the rest of the quilt and then I will get paid for all my work.
Guess what I’m going to use the money for?? Yup, more craft supplies. lol I just can’t get enough and since this money is completely mine, my husband can’t say a word about my craft supply addiction. lol

Well, I have my fingers crossed today that today will be the day that I finally finish my “Doggie Quilt”. This project has not taken me as long as previous quilting projects. It’s a pretty easy project to do as there is one huge square of doggies in the middle and then all I did was cut up six different colors of fabric into squares to go around the edge. Right now all I have left to do is sew two more rounds of squares, put the quilting batten in the quilt and then throw on the back. I’m not a fan of dark colors, but I have to say that now that I am looking at pretty much the finished product, this quilt does look amazing.
So, with this project almost complete, I will then be able to move on to something different. I’m pretty sure the next couple of projects that I will be working on will be homemade jewelry and a knitted afghan. And, of course, I will give you all a sneak peak of these two projects over at Simply Crafting and when these two projects are completed they will also be on sale over at this site as well.

OK guys. This will be the final and last time that I ask for your votes in my scrapbooking contest. There are only two days left to vote so I am asking if you could all go in just one more time and place your votes. Right now I am in second place and if that’s where I end up that’s OK, but if you continue to give me your votes, I have a really good chance at winning first prize. So, with only two days left until the voting ends, I am asking you all for your support this one last time.
I would like to thank each and everyone of you have have help me out with this during the past couple of weeks and whether I win or lose, I am thankful to you all!

As most of you are aware, over the past couple of months I have been trying to get my home crafting business up and running. Everyday I get more and more accomplished and I am extremely proud of myself. I know it is a little slow going, but in the end I really believe that it will all be worth it. I have had quite a few people asking me for pictures of some of the things I have been making and I am now finally prepared to give you all a sneak peak. The picture below is of a quilt that I have just recently started that I will eventually be selling on my newest craft blog and website (that’s another post another day. LOL) This picture shows you all the basic pattern of the quilt and when it is finally completed and up for sale, I will post this and let you all know when and where. I hope you enjoy looking at my latest creation.

Well it’s getting down to the wire here folks. Yes, I am talking about the scrapbooking contest that I entered over at Christine Murphy’s around the first of the month. During the past month I have posted for pleas of votes and yes, I am doing it again. If you could pop on over to Christine’s blog and place a VOTE FOR KIM I would really, really appreciate it. You only have to vote the once, but if you’d like you can go in everyday and vote until October 31.
Every vote counts so even if you only get in the once to vote, I would really, really appreciate it!

I would like to tell you all about a scrapbooking contest that I have entered. A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that Christine posted a post about a scrapbooking contest that she was hosting. All you needed to do was write a post on one of your blogs as to why you wanted to win this amazing contest and then you were entered. Well, I did that.
Now I’m asking for all your help. Now the official voting has begun. If you would be so kind as to drop by Christine’s and give me your vote (Kim) I would be so grateful with your help in helping me win this contest. You only have to vote once, but if you really want to give me hand you could go in every day until October 31 and vote every day.
Thanks for all your help and hopefully on November 1 I will be able to post that I won!

There is one major thing in life that I seriously hate and that is WAITING. I hate waiting for anything. That would include phone calls, a person who is suppose to show up or the mail. Well my life is another waiting game right now. Right now I’m waiting for the mail for a package that I ordered earlier in the week. I know it’s too soon for it to be here, but that doesn’t make my waiting any easier. Once I get my mind set on something, I like to start it right away, but having to wait for a package to be able to get started is really driving me crazy. How about you guys do you enjoy the waiting game, or does it drive you just as crazy as it drives me??

No really I’m bored. I didn’t think it would happen to me so fast since the kids went back to school, but it has. So I either need to find an outside job to get me involved in something different or I need to find a new hobby. I love doing crafts but all the crafts that I’m currently involved with are starting to get quite boring for me. In the past when that happened, I would just stop doing that particular craft and find something else to do. But, for the life of me I can’t think of another project that I would like to do that may hold my interest.
So, this post is a plea for help. If anyone can give me some ideas of something I could do or some new type of craft that I could learn, I would be more than happy to hear your suggestions.
