For the past couple of months I have not been doing very much blogging. And I did feel bad about it and missed the time that I used to spend on the blogs. But all that is changing now. I’m not quite as busy with other stuff as I have been in the past so I will be able to devote more time to my blogs. I plan on revamping all of them, so this is going to take me a while. But when I finally have them all the way I want them, I think I’m going to be pretty pleased. So, don’t be surprised if you see me around more often and look for some changes to come in the very near future.

Although I have been working on the Internet for two years, I am amazed at how much I am still learning everyday. You would think that being on the Internet everyday for two years that I would be almost at the end of my learning curve, but nope I still manage to learn a little bit a day and I love it. I love trying to figure out the different terms on the Internet such as micro sd. Just today I learned that this is a type of memory card. Now if I didn’t spend as much time as I do on my computer I would not be able to boast about all this knowledge. And I am sure that if I’m still as active on my computer in another couple of years, I will be still be able to boast that I’m still learning something new everyday.
Tuesday of next week will be my daughter’s last violin performance. I am so proud of all her hard work this past year and am seriously amazed at how well she can play numerous songs now. She is really looking forward to this final performance to show off her talents.
There is only one thing that is disappointing about this event. Because there are so many students participating in this event, there is a limit on how many tickets each family is allowed to purchase. We need three, but are only allowed to purchase two. So my husband and I have decided that his father and I will go to the performance. My husband and our son will stay home but I will take the video camera and record it for them to watch.
So even though we can’t all go, I think we will have a wonderful time and I can’t wait to see this final performance.
Today our temperature went up to +29 degrees. I’m not sure what that is in celsius, but I do know that this is hot!! With temperatures like this a person really doesn’t need to go out and purchase any diet pills. Just sitting out in this heat would help them lose the weight they want. It’s so hot out today, that the kids were unable to stay out and play very long. It is going to cool down later on as we are expected to get a thunder and lightening storm. So relief is in site. I just don’t know when.
Now that summer is almost here and I will have two small kids underfoot most of the time I don’t think I will be doing a whole lot of crafting. I realize that if I don’t produce any crafts, I can’t possibly make any money from selling them, but the summer months around here are just to crazy to be able to concentrate. I hope to be able to get some handcrafted jewelry made, but if I don’t get very much made I’m not going to beat myself up over it. In my household summer is a time for fun and visiting with different family members. So if I don’t do a whole lot of crafting I know that I will be back at it in full force come September.
How about you guys? Does your focus on your daily activities change during the summer months?
I have been heavily involved with the Entrecard traffic program since January. I have to say that even after all these months I am still quite pleased with the amount of traffic that I have seen through this site. So every once in a while I like to openly express my gratitude to the top droppers from Entrecard on to this site. So here are the top droppers for the month of May. If your on the list then I would like to say a huge “thank you” for your continued drops and visits and if your not on the list but would like to be, all you need to do is drop.
Thanks guys I really do appreciate your visits!

For the past few years my husband has been talking about getting contacts. He has been wearing glasses all of his life and he really wants to be able to get rid of them. But so far he hasn’t done anything about this as several people have told him he is only going to run into problems with contacts because of the type of work they do. They have recommended that he should look into getting Lasik surgery instead. This way he could get rid of the glasses, but not have the problems with dust and grime on contact lenses. So now he is talking about getting this procedure done instead of getting the contact lenses. But..knowing my husband he will keep talking and talking about it and in ten years time he will still be wearing glasses. He can never make up his mind and I just let ramble and do what he wants. It’s easier that way.
I was born and raised in a country atmosphere and I vowed that when I became a mother, my children would grow up in a more active community. It’s funny how our ideas and values change as we get older. I tried living in the big city and hated it. So I moved my family out to the country and have never been happier. There are some pros and cons to living anywhere. Where we are at we are quite far away from a lot of the stores where I like to shop and your pretty limited as to what kind of job you can be employed at, and with so many trees around our area, our cell phone service is quite horrible. But with cell phone amplifiers we have kind of taken care of that particular problem.
But the pros of living in the country is the air is a lot cleaner, the crime rate is down and the kids don’t seem to get in as much trouble as other kids their age that are living in the city. I would have to say that at this point in my life the pros of living in the area where we are at far outweigh the cons. I don’t know if my children would agree with that statement, but as long as their the kids and I’m the parent they will just have to deal with it. lol
Well our bid on that particular house wasn’t accepted. At first I was a little sad, but I have since discovered that everything happens for a reason. And this is what happened to us next….
Last night my father in law came in to discuss his decision about putting his home up for sale. He is ready to move and would like to move into a retirement community that is in his area. He then asked my husband and I if we would like to purchase his home. He stated that if we purchase it, he will sell it to us at a lot cheaper price than if he were to put it on the open market. So after he left my husband and I had a major discussion concerning this move. There are pros and cons to the situation so we need a little time to make a decision.
So I honestly think that we didn’t get the house we put our bid on only because this offer has been patiently waiting for us to make a decision. So we will discuss it more and then make our decision very shortly. The good thing about this offer is that he is not ready to move yet and hasn’t gotten his apartment in the retirement community yet so we do have a bit of time.
Well I’m happy to say that we put our first bid on a house last night. Whether it gets accepted or not will be another post Buying a house can be so frustrating but it’s exciting as well. Over the weekend my husband and I went to look at a house. Now being the way my husband is, he hummed and hawed about it for the past couple of days. There were some great aspects to the home, but there were also some drawbacks as well and I guess he needed to get straightened in his head whether the good outweighed the bad. So when he told me to call the realtor that gave me the indication that he had finally made up his mind. This may not be the house we end up with, but at least it’s a start. I’ll keep you posted!
