Well it is once again the weekend and once again we are experiencing a pretty crappy weekend weather wise. All week long they were forecasting that we would be getting some of what Tropical Dan has to offer. They were right on the mark. It has been raining all day and it is really cold outside. So another summer weekend will have gone by with no sunshine and no camping. I hate to say this folks, but I’m going to be so happy when this summer is firmly behind us.

In two weeks time I will be getting a new laptop. This makes me and my children extremely happy. Me for obvious reasons and my children because when I get a new laptop they get to use my old one. The one that I’m currently on right now suits me well, but the memory isn’t that great and it does have a tendency to run quite slow. It’s perfect for the children, but it has been getting a bit annoying for me. But in two weeks time I will have a brand new one. And hopefully I will be happy with this one and be able to keep it for a very long time to come.

I really need to get my but in gear and get working on my back to school shopping. I have two kids that I need to get ready for school and barely have anything bought. I need to buy them both new clothes and they both have a list of school supplies that they need to have for the first day. Thank God I don’t need to purchase any classroom desks or I would really be in the poor house now wouldn’t I?? But thankfully I don’t have to make any purchases like that. It will still cost me quite a bit of money to get them ready, but they have to have this stuff so I guess I really should get shopping.

With the kids home for the summer my computer time got seriously messed up. Not only was it too difficult to work online with them home (due to their noise), but they were constantly bothering me to do stuff with them that required me to get off my computer. But, I guess that’s what summer vacation is for now isn’t it?? But in less than three weeks they will be back in school and I can get back on my routine. My blogs have seriously suffered this summer but when the kids are in school I can get back on track again. So in less than three weeks I can get back on track and be able to blog and work on the computer whenever I want.

While we were away last night camping our neighbors had a little bit of a fire scare. Apparently last night they had a small fire in their garage. Thankfully for them, they were able to put it out quite quickly and there wasn’t much damage done. But this fire did give them a tiny bit of a fright. One of the reasons why they were so scared, is because at this point in time, they have no insurance. So they have decided to look into some insurance online to see that they are covered in case this ever happens again. To experience a fire is bad enough, but not to have insurance on your property would make this event a lot more nerve racking than it needs to be.

My husband is so funny. Every time he learns something new, he always feels the need to share. He will even share little facts about things that I have absolutely no interest in at all. Last night he decided to share all the facts that he recently learned about a MWF filter with me and I really can’t tell you how disinterested I was. But I guess it beats him sitting around the house and not talking to me. But I really wish he would decided to share some knowledge on things that do interest me.

Last night at work I waited on a girl that I hadn’t seen in over 20 years. If she hadn’t of recognized me, I sure would have never known her. When we were in high school together, she weighed quite a bit. But over the years and a few bottles of diet pills later she took off a lot of weight. I really couldn’t believe how great she looked. It’s amazing how some people change over the years and how some people still look the same. After talking with her last night we vowed to stay in touch, and I really hope that we do.

And the countdown is on. This morning when I got up my daughter informed me that there was only 31 days left until school starts again and let me tell you all, I couldn’t be happier. This has probably been the longest summer of my life. The weather has been so bad that we haven’t been able to do much of anything and this has definitely made time stand still. But, there is only 31 days left and the kiddies will be back on that little yellow school bus!!

It’s bad enough when a kid gets sick, but just imagine when it happens on your birthday. Friday afternoon my daughter was outside playing and fell down and hurt herself. Friday night she started complaining about feeling sick. Well on Saturday she was sick. And she still isn’t real good today. This sickness took a lot out of her. And the crappy thing about this all…. well, she was sick for her birthday. Yesterday was her 11th birthday and she was still feeling like crap. She is doing better today, but she isn’t still 100%. But that’s life and life will go on. Hopefully on her upcoming birthdays something like this doesn’t happen again.
