For the past month or so I haven’t been even able to set foot in my home office. My husband has put a pile of stuff in the room and there is just to much stuff in there for me to comfortably work in. So this past weekend I informed him that I am taking my office back. With the kids getting out of school in just three weeks time, I really do need to have this space of my own so I will have somewhere private and quite to work in.

So later on this week I plan on cleaning out my office once again. And while I’m at it, I will rearrange the office furniture that is already in there as well. I really want to have all this done before the next three weeks is up. And once it is done, if my husband or children go anywhere near this room, they are going to be sorry. I’m not doing this again.

Well it’s spring again so you all know what that means now don’t ya?! It means that my husband is once again on the hunt for a new house. We play this silly little game every spring and by every fall we are still at our current address with no moving in site. Last night he informed me that he had made an appointment to go see a house that was listed in our neighborhood. But because I’m used to all this house hunting and then not buying anything, I am far from excited about the prospect. But I will go to this appointment, because you never know if this just might be the time he decides to purchase. I’ll be sure to let you all know.

I really do wish my husband would make up his mind about whether we are moving or not. Every year around this time he starts talking about selling our current home and buying a new one. Well he has started talking about moving again. For the most part I ignore him now when he starts talking like this, as it usually gets my hopes up and then we don’t end up moving. So I refuse to get my hopes up again anytime soon. I really don’t care if we move or stay at this point. As long as I have a home to live in with a couple of vessel sinks, someplace to lay my head at night and and Internet connection, I normally don’t say too much. But, I will be sure to let you all know if we ever do end up moving.

In less than a month, the two kids will be out of school for the summer break. Honestly, I really don’t know where the time has gone. It’s seems like only yesterday I was getting them ready for their first day of school in September. Now nine months has passed and it won’t be too much longer before the yellow school bus won’t be coming around our area any longer. Both the kids did great this year, and they both have already passed the school year. So this means the my little fellow will be going into grade 4 next year and my daughter will be headed into grade 6. They both had an excellent year and I am so very proud of both of them. So I have less than a month to myself and then they will be home on a much deserved long break.

Well the weekend is over once again. It was a very quiet weekend in our house. But it was a very painful one as well. During the last five days I suffered from a really bad headache for four of those. The headache was so bad, that I wasn’t even able to be online very much on my computer. Since I haven’t had my eyes checked for over three years, I’m assuming the headache is because of my eyes and I’m thinking that I’m really going to need to make an eye appointment and get this straightened out. Well, it is better than having to make an appointment with a Plano Dentist. But not much better. I really do detest having to go anywhere near the medical community. But, I really hate the headaches even worse. So, I guess I’m going to have to make that appointment soon.

Well, once again it’s Friday. So, you all know what that means don’t you?? It means that the weekend is just right around the corner. Now normally every weekend I have to work, but not anymore. This will be my first weekend off since September and I’m really unsure as to what I will end up doing with myself or the family. It’s going to be a surprise I guess. But I do plan on taking it easy and just having a little bit of fun on the weekend for once.

So what are your plans for the weekend?

Mother’s day is kind of a happy day for me as well as a sad day. Yes, I am a mother myself so that is why this day is a happy one. But having both my mother in law and my own mother not with us here anymore to celebrate the day, it kind of is a sad one as well. But on this day I take a few minutes to remember my mother and my mother in law and then I participate in mother’s day activities with my own children. This year we spent quite a bit of time together and had a couple of really nice meals. After two days of eating, I was really starting to wonder if I should invest in some type of appetite suppressant. But since the celebrations are over, I think I will probably be all right. So, except for missing my mother and my husband’s mother, we all had a pretty good day.

Well finally! It’s Friday once again. Lately the weekdays seem to be flying right along. But it’s always nice to see the weekend once again. Although I have to work this coming weekend, I only work part time so I really do have a lot of time on the weekends to spend with the family. This will be my last weekend to work as next week I am switching over to evenings during the week.

So… have a great weekend everyone and I’ll see you all again the first of next week.

Six more weeks and the children will be finished school for another year. Now, both of them did really well, so we have decided to purchase them a pretty great grading present this year. Now because this will be a very expensive purchase, the kids will have to share the gift. I don’t think they will mind as the gift we intend on purchasing them will be a brand new laptop. I have been doing a little research on the Internet for a good computer for them and have pretty much made up my mind as to which one we will purchase. We’ve found one that has quite a bit of memory, and great graphics and sound. I have even been looking at some compact flash cards which we may purchase later. Although the kids will have to share this present, since it’s something they both enjoy playing on, I really don’t think they will mind the sharing part of it.

Yesterday after work I decided to clean out the bathroom closets and cabinets. I was pretty amazed at all the things I found in there that I needed to throw out. I found some old diet pills of my husband’s that were four years old. I guess he really didn’t need those now did he. I also ended up throwing out a lot of creams and lotions that I have had around for years. After I was finished with all my cleaning, I discovered that I really had been stockpiling a whole lot of stuff. Now the bathroom looks a whole lot better. Next week, it will be time to do this in my bedroom. Oh, what fun!
