Over the weekend my youngest son spent quite a bit of time outside. It was extremely windy on both days and on Saturday he got some sand in his eye. Well it started watering and he started rubbing it. By the end of the day it looked like someone had punched him in the eye. Sunday night it didn’t look much better and we were a little concerned about sending him to school looking like this. But, we were able to find the best eye cream available on the market and started putting this stuff on his face.
By Monday it did look a little better so we sent him to school. All day Monday the teacher’s were asking him what happened. He liked the attention and did tell them the truth so they had no concerns that someone punched him. After a few days of putting this cream on his face, he is finally starting to look normal again.

Right now it is only 8:00 in the morning, but it already sunny and quite mild out. So I have decided that today would be a perfect day to get a little work done outside. I am going to do a major clean on my car. Yes, you heard me right, I’m going to clean my car today. During the winter months it’s really too cold and miserable to do any amount of cleaning on the car so things tend to pile up a bit. Then in the spring I normally do a major spring cleaning on the car and get it ready for summer. Well, that’s what I have planned for today. So, if I’m not around much today, now you all know why. I’m busy spring cleaning.

Right now I do quite a bit of product reviews for one of our local grocery stores. Over the past few months, I have gotten a lot of free cleaning products from this company. They send me the items by mail, I test them out and then I give an honest review on the products that I’ve tried out. And the best part is, is that I get to keep all the products they send me as their way of saying thanks. I am quite happy with all the products I have been given to test out, but it would sure be nice if I could review some unique hotels or something along those lines. But since it’s a grocery store and not a hotel chain I don’t think that this is going to happen any time soon. So I guess I’ll just have to be content with the products that I do end up testing.

Well there is now less than a month before camping season is to start. It’s still a little too early to be looking at pool supplies or things like that, but the camping parks will be open and people will be camping. As it stands right now we are planning on taking the kids on our very first camping trip the long weekend in May. It is still a little chilly at nights but with a pop-up camper trailer that has a furnace we should be OK. The kids are really looking forward to this and my husband and I are as well. They would be happier if they could go swimming. But they will still be pleased that they get to go.

I have to say that since I’ve been working in the service industry for the past eight years, my tolerance of rude workers in that field really is at a very low level. Yesterday I had to take some bottles and cans to the recycling depot and I can’t tell you about the attitude that I experienced. Honestly if I was as rude as these people were yesterday, I really wouldn’t have a job very long. I honestly don’t know why people work at a job if they are so unhappy with the job. Their attitude only makes it bad for everyone around them. Hopefully I won’t have to go to this particular location very often, or I may seriously do or say something that I really shouldn’t. They should really find another place to work.

I have to be the worst procrastinator of all times. I normally will put off anything today that I think can be done tomorrow. One thing I have been putting off for quite a while that I really shouldn’t be is getting my diamond rings sized. For Christmas my husband gave me a new engagement ring. And it is one size to big. When he purchased the ring he was told that if he brings it in they will size if for free. Well now it’s almost the end of April and I still don’t have this ring sized. So I really think I need to stop putting this off and to go and get this ring sized. I do have other rings that need to be sized as well, but this one is the important one. Who knows, maybe one of these days I’ll stop procrastinating and do what I’m supposed to do on time.

Since we’ve finally had a few really nice days I have been doing a lot of yard work. We had a lot of rocks put on our lawn from the snowplow this past winter so I needed to get out the rake and rake my lawn. I finally have completed all that so the next thing I need to do is dig out the patio furniture and dust it off. Once I get everything situated the way I want it to be, I will then carry out my cup of coffee and sit down and enjoy the spring weather. I just love spring. Don’t you?

One of my husband’s favorite hobbies is to play poker online. He can spend hours on different sites playing his games. I really don’t mind very much as he normally plays on all the free sites, so all this really costs him is a bit of his time. Well lately he has started to get a little bored playing poker and has decided that he may like to stretch his playing areas into blackjack and other forms of gambling. So being the good little wife that I am, I have been doing a little digging on the Internet to find him the best sites where he can play at.
One of the sites that I have found is over at www.777.com. This site seems to be one of the best online for a little gaming entertainment. They offer all kinds of free games (right up our alley) as well as free downloads. Also, you are able to browse their entire selection of online gaming sites. And they offer the beginners free tutorials in all their games. So this site is perfect not only for experienced players, but for new players as well.

Well about a month ago I was able to completely move into my home office. It was nice to have a little space of my own to do all my computer work and it seemed like I got a lot more accomplished as I really didn’t have the distractions in my room that I have experienced from sitting in the kitchen. Well, that fun was short lived. Last week I was having some Internet troubles and when everything finally got straightened out, I realized that my own computer has to be hooked up to the router and modem which is on the kitchen table. My husband’s computer and the kid’s computers are fine as they weren’t configured to all this hardware. So, for now I’m back at the kitchen table. But, hopefully this won’t last long. When I figure out something else that will make my computer work in my little room, I’ll be moving back in there.

Now as you all know, normally I only work Saturday and Sunday’s at my job. Well this past week my boss needed me to work some shifts for her as her husband had major surgery and she wanted to be with him. So I agreed thinking it would be a nice break from the busy weekends that I normally put in. Well, I was wrong. We were so busy yesterday that I honestly had thoughts about checking out some Westgate reservations and then running away somewhere.
The restaurant was packed and the people were cranky because the service was slow. Well, guess what! I was the only waitress on and I honestly did the best that I could. It was as busy as a Saturday or Sunday except that I didn’t have a second waitress to help me out. But, the boss is back today so today I will have a day of rest. Then, I get to look forward to another busy weekend only a couple of days away.
