Now don’t get me wrong. I love getting comments on all my blogs. But man I do get annoyed with people when they live stupid comments. Most time it’s not even a comment, but just a link to their own spammy site. Well of course those types of comments don’t see the light of day. So, if your one of those people, just pay attention and stop leaving comments here. If you leave a legitimate comment I will more than welcome your input. But for you spammers out there, get a life!

End of my rant.

My daughter’s fiddle-a-thon is all set to go on April 4th. Too bad I’m not ready yet. I still need to collect a few pledges for her so she can participate. So this weekend I’m going to take her sheet to work and ask some of my co-workers if they want to pledge her. Then after work on Saturday, I plan on taking her around the neighborhood to see how many pledges she can get. And, that’s pretty much all the pledging we will be doing. Since we don’t know a whole lot of people, she doesn’t get too many pledges. But if she gets some, she will be happy. Then on April 4th she will be able to participate and she will have to play for 200 minutes. Me, I get to sit down and listen to 200 minutes of violin playing. Good times.. LOL

Boy time sure does fly when your having fun! I can’t believe that it’s Friday all ready. Where did the time go? I had a pretty busy week. I decided to start my spring cleaning and am actually quite impressed with the work that got done. I guess you can get a whole lot more accomplished when you don’t have a couple of little people under foot.

But, now it’s the weekend so the spring cleaning will end for now. Tomorrow and Sunday I have to work, so I guess I’ll have to get back at it the first of next week. But, until then I hope you all have a great weekend and I’ll see you all again real soon.

Well I had a pretty quiet weekend. Although I did work Saturday and Sunday, even my work was pretty quiet. Because there were basketball tournaments in town all weekend, we put on extra staff, but we really didn’t need them. We weren’t even as busy as we are on a normal weekend. Saturday after work I really didn’t do a whole lot and was able to get to bed quite early. So I had a great night’s sleep for once. Then yesterday after work we went to my father in law’s for supper. Actually having a quiet weekend was kind of nice and I really hope I see more of these in the future.

Although my daughter brought home her pledge sheet for her fiddle-a-thon a couple of months ago, we really haven’t gotten a whole lot of pledges yet. Now that the fiddle-a-thon is only a couple of weeks away, we really do need to get on the ball and get the rest of her pledges. Tomorrow after work I plan on taking her around the neighborhood and I am also planning on taking her slip with me to work tomorrow and bother most of the staff.

Then all I will need to do is to make sure my camcorder is all set to go and then get myself ready to sit back and listen to 200 minutes of people playing the violin. My husband and son can’t go to this event so I am taking the camcorder so they get to listen to it at home. I really can’t believe how fast time flies when your not looking.

Now that the days are getting warmer and longer, it has gotten me to thinking about summer and the type of vacation that I would like to take with the family this year. I would love to be able to go with the family to the Outer Banks but due to financial reasons, I really don’t think that this would be possible this year. I think we will probably end up doing a lot of local camping this year. We already have the trailer and if we go to local sites, we won’t end up spending a lot of money on gas. So, we will probably save our money and possibly go on a more exciting and expensive trip some other year.

Well now that my father in law has finally sold his house and has a little extra money in the bank, he has decided to do some small fix ups on his mini home. This spring he plans on replacing his water heater with a gas tankless water heater and he also plans on putting a porch on his new home. He has already started to purchase the material and has asked my husband to come down and give him a hand when the snow finally leaves us. Hopefully after helping his father out, my husband will be in the home renovation mood and will start to do some of the improvements on our home that I want.

Well, I’m glad that my father in law’s house sold and now he is able to do the things to his new home that he’s been putting off until this sale went through.

Although my youngest son is only eight, I really do believe that he will end up following in his father’s footsteps and become a mechanic when he gets older. Last night my husband had to go work on his car and my son begged him to let him come out and help. When he helps his father, he really is a great help. He knows most of the parts on a car even the coilovers?? See, I can’t be a mechanic. He gets right under the car with his father, and normally ends up just as dirty if not dirtier than his father. I think it’s so cute. The only thing I am wondering, is if he does this because he wants to be close to his father, or if he really does have an interest in cars. Either way, if he does decide to be a mechanic when he grows up, I think he will do a fine job.

I really don’t think that I have ever been as happy to see a Monday arrive than I was today! Today is the day that the two little ones finally went back to school. Last week they were home on March break. And let me tell you all, that it was probably the longest week of my life.

Even though they were home and could relax and have fun all week, all they chose to do was fight! I’m not kidding. They fought all week long. And it was just as much one’s fault as it was the others. These two kids really need to be in school. If they are home for too long of a stretch, they get bored and don’t know what to do with themselves. So, this is what happened last week. They got bored and decided that the only amusement they could possibly get was to fight.

But, I’m here to report that March break did come to an end and even now, these two kids are back in school just where they belong.

Now that spring is finally in sight, my husband and I have decided to go back to our renovations. During the winter it’s just too cold to work on things, so we kind of took a break from it all and now are ready to return to the scene of the crime so to speak. We still haven’t decided if we will end up putting this house up for sale or not, but even if we don’t, I would still like a home that’s nice to look at and nice to live in.

The first area in our home that we plan on re-doing is the living room. Now we have a lot of the living room already done, but there are still some finishing touches that I would like to see done. One of these finishing touches just happens to be installing some crown molding. I would love to purchase some molding that I found on the invitinghome.com website.

Because I knew that we would be looking for classy but inexpensive molding to finish the living room, I did stop by this site and took a look around. I was extremely pleased to find that they carry a large variety of moldings. Not only do they carry molding, but they also carry wood carvings like corbels, shutters, mantels and so much more. Actually you can find a wide variety of renovation products on their site. And, their prices are extremely reasonable compared to other companies.

So, as the renovations continue, I really do plan on stopping by this site a whole lot more. I can have my entire house renovated at a very inexpensive cost to me.
