Yesterday I was going through all my jewelry making supplies and decided to get back into it. I haven’t really created any jewelry since before Christmas and this is one craft that I really do miss doing on. So last night after the children went to bed and my husband was sound asleep on the couch, I got out all my supplies and started to make another jewelry set. I did manage to finish a bracelet, but wasn’t able to start the necklace or earrings. I plan on doing this today. So when I do finally get this set made, I’ll be sure to pop in and let you all see what kind of magic I created. It was nice just sitting back and making jewelry last night and because of this, I plan on doing it a lot more in the future.

I have made a pretty big discovery these last couple of days. Because my husband was home sick from work for the past two days, I haven’t been able to get much done around the house. While he was sleeping, I didn’t want to make too much noise so I spent a lot of time on the computer. Now, this wouldn’t be so bad except that I really didn’t get much accomplished while I was on the computer. Sure I learned a few things such as what Mesothelioma is all about, but as far as getting any actual work done, well that didn’t happen. So, I have decided that I really need to organize my computer time a little better. Yes, I could spend a little time each day surfing the net, but I really don’t think wasting two days online surfing is doing me any good.
I really hope that neither one of the kids end up calling home sick from school today. The reason for this is because I don’t have a car today. My husband had to take my car this morning due to the fact that he couldn’t get his out of the driveway. Normally he would have the work truck, but because he has been home sick for two days he dropped off the truck so the other mechanic could use it. So I’m just praying that these two little people stay in school today as I have absolutely no way of going to get them if they need to come home. On a brighter note, I should have my car back around 6:00 pm tonight which means that tomorrow I shouldn’t be stranded.
Last night I received a phone call from my niece that she finally received my package. When she opened up the box she was tickled pink to find the baby bedding, sleepwear and the other goodies for her brand new bundle of joy that I had packed in the box. Although her baby isn’t due until June, I really wanted her to have these things ahead of time, so that when she does have the child, she will be all ready for it. Even though she lives in Canada (as do I) this package still took about three weeks to get to her. That is why I was so happy to hear that she received it. Although the postal system was slow, it finally did come through in the end.
I swear to god, this has been the worst and longest winter of my life. Just before Christmas, the entire family came down with the flue. It was so bad around here, that even when I wasn’t sick myself, I felt like I was from just being around the “sick” family. Well, it’s running through our house again. First my daughter had it (not very badly) and now my husband has been home with this flue for the past couple of days. He is feeling so bad, that he doesn’t even want to eat any of the meals that I have cooked for him. Well at least we are saving a little money on Orovo because of this. Hopefully this thing will run it’s course quickly so he can be back to his old self again soon. And hopefully my son and I don’t catch it. Now I’m off to cook more food that he probably won’t eat.
Well I have some major decisions to make. Lately I have found that blogging has become a chore. I have been blogging for a little over two years now (wow, has it really been that long??) and just recently, I have found that my interest just isn’t there any more.
When I first starting blogging, I would be so excited to turn on my computer first thing in the morning. I wanted to see if I had any readers and commentors while I was sleeping. But these days it just doesn’t seem to be the case. Most mornings I take my time turning on the computer and I hardly spend any time on it during the day.
So this is why I need to make some major decisions. I haven’t decided whether to stop blogging all together or just to cut back for awhile. When I make up my mind, I’ll let you all know.
What a miserable day. Right now we are in the midst of a very bad winter snowstorm. The snow is falling down and with the high winds, visibility on the roads are just so bad. I was listening to the radio a little while ago and heard that there were a lot of minor accidents so far today. By the sounds of things, there is probably going to be a lot of people looking for an online car insurance quote later on today. Thankfully the kids and I don’t need to go out in this mess, but my husband is out in it. I just hope and pray he stays safe and I’ll be able to stop worrying when he finally gets home from work. Trust me on a day like today, if you don’t need to be out on the roads, you shouldn’t be.
Last summer my husband’s boss and his girlfriend were involved in a very bad motorcycle accident. So bad in fact that he spent months in the hospital recuperating, has gone through several surgeries and needed to get in contact with some motorcycle accident lawyers Los Angeles. Well last week he purchased a brand new motorbike for himself and next week he is purchasing one for his girlfriend. You would think after everything he has gone through and still needs to go through that he would never want to ride another bike again wouldn’t you? Nope as soon as the doctor gives him the OK he will be back on the roads. This man is a lot braver than I am. I just hope that after they get the bikes they stay safe.
For the most part, my daughter is a really good kid. She really does try to be good, but lately her attitude has been driving me a little crazy. She’s 10 but I swear she’s going on 16. Lately she has been getting her kicks in life by first of all picking on her younger brother constantly. Every time she says something mean to him, he starts crying. I get mad at her and then she will say she is sorry, but I really have to wonder if she really means it.
Then we get the attitude that she has developed with me and her father. She has always been a bit nasty with me, but she now has the smart talk with him as well. I’m really hoping that all this misbehaving is just a phase she’s going through and not a sign of things to come. If this is what she’s like as a 10 year old, I shudder to think of what I have to look forward to in the future.
I really had no idea how many activities the children were involved in this year until they came home from school the other day and were telling me about getting their pictures taken for the school yearbook. Every year the school takes individual photos of the kids in all the different clubs that they belonged to. My daughter’s picture will be in this year book eight different times this year and my son’s will be in it four. Although he is not as active in his school activities as she is, he is still only in grade 3 so I’m sure he will catch up with her in the later grades.
One of the pictures that he was not in was the picture with the softball trophies. He missed getting on the team as he was home sick when they had the tryouts. But I’m pretty sure that his picture will be there next year. I can’t wait until these yearbooks go on sale so I can see the kids and all the activities that they are involved in.
