Thinking Outloud

This is the time of year when it’s allowable to keep secrets and tell little white lies. Obviously you have to lie a little bit to your family so they don’t figure out what their getting for Christmas. I’ve tried to explain to my youngest son that this is the only time of year that I will allow even little white lies and they have to be related to Christmas. I tried to tell him that it would be ok to fib to his father and tell him we got him something totally different than a work holding for Christmas. But he just can’t seem to wrap his brain around the fact that he allowed to fib a little. So I guess I’ll just have to keep my fingers crossed that my husband doesn’t ask my son what he got him for Christmas. Otherwise I think it might ruin the surprise.
