In a months time my father in law (who’s 70) will be marrying his bride (she’s 66). So he’s been bustling around trying to get all the loose ends tied up. They are planning on having a huge ?? wedding with the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony and dance. Last week he asked me if I could bring some appetizers to the rehearsal dinner. After I stopped laughing, I then asked him if he was serious. He should know that I don’t cook. Can’t cook and don’t cook. But after the look of sorrow crossed his face, I told him I would bring some. He doesn’t need to know that they are bought. Oh well it’s his big day and he is excited about it, so I guess I can make the effort to try to find him some food.

My daughter is in grade 5 at school this year. Not only does this mean that this is her last year in elementary school, but being in grade 5 she can participate in other activities as well. One of the activities that she has really been looking forward to is to possibly become a peer helper. A peer helper helps the teacher on duty, on lunch breaks and for any other things the teacher may need help with.
They only pick 24 students to help out in this matter. Well 40 students applied to become involved so Kara was a little nervous about getting picked. But she came home from school yesterday really excited. She was one of the ones picked and she started her official duties today. I know she will really enjoy this aspect of school and it just goes to show you that if you work really hard during school and prove yourself, anything is possible.
