Update on house hunting
The bid we put in the other night for the house was rejected. Oh well, there will be other’s. Next week we have an appointment with a couple of mortgage lenders to see if we can get preapproved for a mortgage. Right now we are kind of just shooting in the dark when we place bids, but if we have a preapproved mortgage, then we will at least know what type of price we should be shooting for. We have a good idea of what we want to pay, now all we need is to find out if that number is anywhere near our budget. This is an exciting time, but also a very frustrating time. I’ll keep you all posted.

Being pre-approved on a mortgage will also show buyers that you are serious, particularly if they are receiving more than one offer. It’s a very smart thing to do.
