Family outing

Published by User Image under home, life

Last night my husband and I took the kids out to the movies. Only four more days until their summer vacation is officially over so we thought we would do something nice for them. And after putting up with them for over eight weeks sitting in the soft comfy theater seats was a great way to relax. I really wish I had some home theater sconces to sit in at home. That way I could just sit back, relax, put the headphones on and pretend that the kids aren’t fighting again. But, that’s not going to happen any day soon so I guess I’ll just have to make it a point to go to the theater more often.

Holding off the extension

Published by User Image under home

Well it has come to our attention that our trailer park has been sold. And because we aren’t really sure what the new owners have planned, we have decided to put our extension on hold. When we find out what they expect of us and if we are going to end up staying in the park then we will decide if we are going to put the extension on or not. Until then, we will have to put our TV wall mount and all the other supplies we bought into storage. I really hate to do this, but I don’t want to put on an extension and then end up having to tear it all down to move the trailer. I’ll keep you all posted.

Four more days

Published by User Image under kids, School

It’s really a good thing that I don’t have a blood pressure monitor in my own home these days. If I did and I took my blood pressure I can almost bet that it would be completely through the roof. And why is this you ask?? One word: children. I have to say that this has been the absolute worst summer in terms of the kids fighting. My daughter is getting to the age where she insists on having time to herself and my son is still at the age where he wants people to play with him. This has been the major source for the constant fighting. But, the good thing is: in four more days they are headed back to school so I at least won’t need to listen to the fighting during the day. Honestly if they only fight at night now, I can probably stand it.

Favicons

Published by User Image under blogging, Internet

I have received a couple of comments on my blogs concerning favicons.  These  commenters wanted to know why I don’t have any.  Well I don’t have any because I don’t have a clue as to what they are or even what their good for.  So before I try to figure this out and possibly mess up my blogs I thought I would ask all you experts out there your opinions.

First of all what is a favicon ?  Will it benefit me to create some for my blogs and does it hurt me if I don’t?  If I can see some benefit to going through all this trouble, then I have no problems putting up some favicons.  But if they really aren’t going to help me  then I don’t want to put the time and effort into this.

So how about it.  Can anybody help me out here?

Last week of summer vacation

Published by User Image under life, kids, School

Can you say busy?? LOL This is the kid’s final week of summer vacation and I am extremely busy. I have so much to do and so little time that I’m seriously starting to wonder if I’m going to get everything accomplished that I need to. I have been doing so much running around that I have even forgotten to eat. I guess I don’t need any weight loss pills now do I? Oh well. The way I look at things is if they get done, the get done and if not, well…they will sometime. Next week should be a better week and life as I have become to know it should slow down a little bit. Hope so because I am starting to get tired and cranky.

Trying to talk him into it

Published by User Image under family, life

My husband is not a man for change. When we first talked about buying our current home, it took me well over six months to talk him into just viewing the place and when we first started camping, he found a campground that he liked and now will not go anywhere different. So when I got this idea in my head about looking into different cruises that we can take, I knew I was going to have a hard time convincing him that this would be an enjoyable vacation for us to share together. And, I was right, I’m having a heck of a time convincing him. But since I don’t plan on going on a cruise any day soon, I have lots of time to convince him that this is the right thing to do. Hopefully I’ll be successful in my efforts, but if not at least I can say that I tried.

I despise spam!

Published by User Image under blogging, Internet

Seriously I’m not talking about the canned meat, I’m talking about all these annoying little comments that I have to come in and delete every day.  And normally not just once a day, it’s normally a few times a day.  Honestly, why would people think that if I deleted their comment once that day that I’m ever going to let the same comment by the same poster go through the same day??  Do these people have nothing better to do then post spam comments all day long?  I know I have better things to do with my time then deleting them all.  I just wish these people would go away and forget that they ever found my site.

Jewelry pictures

Published by User Image under crafts

I post a lot about all my jewelry making activities, but have come to the realization that I haven’t posted any current pictures in a while. So I thought I would give you all a treat and post some of the pieces that I currently have for sale on my site over at simply crafting.

So if you like any of the pieces that are displayed here or would like to place a custom order, you can leave me a comment here on this post and I will definitely get back to you. The bracelets go from $7.50 and $15.00 and the prices for the necklaces are $12.00 and $25.00. I really hope you enjoy looking at the pictures and when I get more items made I’ll be sure to be back and show you all my work.

A possible trip to Branson

Published by User Image under entertainment

Although my husband and I have been together for well over 14 years we have never taken a trip that is just for the two of us. When I met my husband I already had a child, so we have never been childless. And because we now have three children, we never seem to have the money to go away without them. But I have been saving money so that some day him and I will be able to take a trip that will be just for the two of us.

The one area where I would love to go would be to Branson. I have seen so many pictures in brochures and magazines and the area looks just perfect for us. They have a lot of activities that we could get involved with such as the Grand Jubilee or their theme park, Silver Dollar City. With lots of stuff to do like shopping, going to concerts and romantic dinners out, I think this location would be a perfect location for me and my husband. And their prices for lodging and accommodations are so reasonable, we could probably stay longer than I had originally planned.

Now if I can only keep saving my pennies and find a babysitter, we will be good to go.

Where to find answers

Published by User Image under home

The one thing that I just love about computers and the Internet is the amount of knowledge that a person can gain on doing simple searches. But this is also the major thing that frustrates me as well. Because there is so much information around the Internet, sometimes I spend hours looking for something. That’s why I love finding sites that are directory sites. These type of sites make is so much easier to find information that I am looking for quite quickly.

Yesterday I was looking on the Internet for Atlanta granite countertops to compare prices and I was extremely happy to find tons of information regarding this project directly from a directory site. As you all know, we are currently renovating our home and one of the things I am planning on putting in it is granite counter tops. By comparing prices from Atlanta and other areas, I was able to determine that the price I am paying isn’t really that bad.

While I was at this site I also discovered other cool information. Like where to find a decent Raleigh Landscaping site and other types of information that I find invaluable. So if your like I am an detest searching for hours for information than I highly suggest checking out these types of directories.
