When gas prices go up everything that relies on fuel also costs more. The price of food and goods that are exported or shipped across country has to rise in order to compensate for the high cost of fuel. The high gas prices has had a negative effect on the US economy. Everything relies on fuel. We need to find other alternatives to gasoline. Thats the only answer.

I read an article recently about Vegas flights - about how the increasing cost of fuel is reducing the profit margin, and a lot of the airlines are going to start cutting back service. In addition, a lot of hotels will start offering reduced rates to try and attract more visitors.

I think as a result of all the changes that will be brought on from the current fuel prices, the next few years will be interesting...

Thats a really good point... it's not just gas prices that are going up! Flights have gone up as well, people are definitely going to be traveling a lot less!!
