It finally happened. My old computer that has been on it’s last legs for the past year finally gave up the ghost and died. The kids really enjoyed playing on this computer and were upset when it stopped working so I have been looking at getting them a new one. Because they are only 10 and 8 I don’t want to go out and purchase a brand new one so I have been thinking about getting them a used cisco. For what the kids use it for I think a used one would suit their purposes. When they get a little older I will then look into purchasing a new one. But until then I’m sure a used one will do just fine.

In the next three weeks my husband will be off work for a week’s vacation. During this week we plan on taking the children camping as much as the weather will allow. But in some ways I wish he would take the week and finish up some of the projects that he has started around here. Last year he started putting on vinyl siding on our trailer and it’s still not done. I know vacation time should be a time of fun and relaxation, but because when he’s working he doesn’t seem to have the time to complete these projects, I thought vacation time would be a perfect time to get it all done. But he has different ideas.

Now that my husband’s father has made the decision to pack up and sell his home, he has been on a cleaning frenzy. Not only is he cleaning the house from inside to out, but he also going through all their stuff. He is selling some stuff and giving other stuff away. Last night he gave me my mother-in-law’s freshwater pearls to put away for her grand daughter. I am happy that Kara will be receiving some of her grandmother’s stuff when she gets a bit older, but all this giving is kind of making me a little sad. But he’s ready to move on and is now taking back his life so I guess that part of it makes me happy.

So yesterday I posted that my husband and I had two appointments last night to view two different houses.  Well I was extremely disappointed in both viewings.  The lower priced one was lower priced because of a very important reason.  The house was a disaster.  It would take a lot more of our money to even get the place to a point where we could live in it.  And I’m not willing to put that much money into it.  The second home was a little better but it definitely wasn’t worth the higher price tag.  So I guess we will just keep hunting.  Thankfully we are in no real hurry to purchase so we don’t have to take just anything but it was still disappointing none the less.
