I live in the country
I was born and raised in a country atmosphere and I vowed that when I became a mother, my children would grow up in a more active community. It’s funny how our ideas and values change as we get older. I tried living in the big city and hated it. So I moved my family out to the country and have never been happier. There are some pros and cons to living anywhere. Where we are at we are quite far away from a lot of the stores where I like to shop and your pretty limited as to what kind of job you can be employed at, and with so many trees around our area, our cell phone service is quite horrible. But with cell phone amplifiers we have kind of taken care of that particular problem.
But the pros of living in the country is the air is a lot cleaner, the crime rate is down and the kids don’t seem to get in as much trouble as other kids their age that are living in the city. I would have to say that at this point in my life the pros of living in the area where we are at far outweigh the cons. I don’t know if my children would agree with that statement, but as long as their the kids and I’m the parent they will just have to deal with it. lol

To get cell phone reception at my house I have to stand in the corner in the kitchen or hang off the side of the deck. LOL
We just moved from an active suburban community South of Chicago to a more rural small town in Indiana. I only have 1 complaint…..BUGS! Otherwise, this is a far better place to raise my kids, even if it means we have to drive 20 minutes or more to get to Target!
