Interesting TV show

Last night my husband and I were watching a TV show about celebrities and their troubles with weight losses and gains. It was quite informative. One expert stated that celebrities like Oprah and Janet Jackson are damages their bodies with their quick weight loss methods. They state this is because of the yo-yo effect of all these diets that they have been on over the years. I’m pretty sure these facts would hold true any human, but they were using celebrities as an example. Did you know that if you lose, gain, lose then gain again, you can add up to four years of deterioration on your body? The most important fact that I took away from this show is that any person when trying to lose any amount of weight needs to do it slowly so they don’t do major damage to their bodies later on down the road.

    Kim…this post is so accurate. Also I’ve become friends with a new employee in our company. She and I talk often as I give her guidance on our job. Recently she told me that she takes diet pills. I ask her why she did it. I’ve seen her before and I didn’t think she was that overweight but she said she has gained bout 75 lbs that she needs to get rid. Anyway, she said that last year she needed to lose about 35 lbs real quick for her sons wedding. So she took the diet pills and lost 35 llbs in 2 months ONLY be taking the diet pills. I suggested to her if she stopped eating fast greazy foods every day from fast food restaurants and ate more nutritious meals plus get some exercise several times a week she wouldn’t need the pills. But she said…she didn’t like my method and she would continue to take the pills.

    I wonder what effect pregnancy has on your body? I mean, it’s natural and all but I gained 50lbs with my first and 70lbs with my second. I lost more than the weight I gained with my fisrt and hope to do the same now. Although I do it with Weight Watchers SLOWLY so maybe that is different.
