I was born and raised in a country atmosphere and I vowed that when I became a mother, my children would grow up in a more active community. It’s funny how our ideas and values change as we get older. I tried living in the big city and hated it. So I moved my family out to the country and have never been happier. There are some pros and cons to living anywhere. Where we are at we are quite far away from a lot of the stores where I like to shop and your pretty limited as to what kind of job you can be employed at, and with so many trees around our area, our cell phone service is quite horrible. But with cell phone amplifiers we have kind of taken care of that particular problem.
But the pros of living in the country is the air is a lot cleaner, the crime rate is down and the kids don’t seem to get in as much trouble as other kids their age that are living in the city. I would have to say that at this point in my life the pros of living in the area where we are at far outweigh the cons. I don’t know if my children would agree with that statement, but as long as their the kids and I’m the parent they will just have to deal with it. lol
Well our bid on that particular house wasn’t accepted. At first I was a little sad, but I have since discovered that everything happens for a reason. And this is what happened to us next….
Last night my father in law came in to discuss his decision about putting his home up for sale. He is ready to move and would like to move into a retirement community that is in his area. He then asked my husband and I if we would like to purchase his home. He stated that if we purchase it, he will sell it to us at a lot cheaper price than if he were to put it on the open market. So after he left my husband and I had a major discussion concerning this move. There are pros and cons to the situation so we need a little time to make a decision.
So I honestly think that we didn’t get the house we put our bid on only because this offer has been patiently waiting for us to make a decision. So we will discuss it more and then make our decision very shortly. The good thing about this offer is that he is not ready to move yet and hasn’t gotten his apartment in the retirement community yet so we do have a bit of time.

Well I’m happy to say that we put our first bid on a house last night. Whether it gets accepted or not will be another post Buying a house can be so frustrating but it’s exciting as well. Over the weekend my husband and I went to look at a house. Now being the way my husband is, he hummed and hawed about it for the past couple of days. There were some great aspects to the home, but there were also some drawbacks as well and I guess he needed to get straightened in his head whether the good outweighed the bad. So when he told me to call the realtor that gave me the indication that he had finally made up his mind. This may not be the house we end up with, but at least it’s a start. I’ll keep you posted!
Well it’s not really my yard sale. It’s my father in law’s but he is willing to let me put up a table. So I have been digging around the house to find things to sell as well as getting all my jewelry together to see if I can sell some of that as well. While I was going through the cupboards and closets I was amazed to find not one, but two popcorn machines tucked away. Obviously I haven’t used them in quite a while so I’m pretty sure I can put them in the yard sale without missing them around my home. Now I have to go see what other treasures I may find. You never know, maybe I can get rid of a lot of junk and make a little money at the same time.
While I was employed at my last job, I got really close to a couple of my co-workers. And although I don’t work there anymore and they still do, we still keep in close contact and remain really good friends. Well here is something that my really good friend did for me over the weekend.
She knows that I can’t cook worth a darn and also knows that I LOVE chocolate marshmallow squares. So she called me last week and said that she was making some and that she would give me a “little” pan of these squares over the weekend. On Saturday I went down to her job to pick them up and their was an entire pan full of marshmallow squares. This pan should last me a very long time as I’m the only one in the house who eats them.
So Sharla a BIG THANK YOU goes out to you and I just wanted to let you know that they are DELICIOUS!!

The kids only have three more weeks until they are finished school for the year. Then it’s summer vacation for them. And the start of a very long summer for me. How I know that it will be a long year is because of the constant fighting that these two kids think they need to do. But since I’m poor and can’t afford to go on any Orlando vacations without them, I’m going to have to find a way to deal with and cope. I honestly wish that they could either learn to get along or stay away from one another. But that hasn’t happened on any other summer vacation, so I don’t expect it to happen this year either.

Last night I had the most bizarre dream that I think I have ever had. I dreamt about vacuum cleaners. The Dyson brand actually. I don’t have any carpets in my home and don’t have a vacuum cleaner so I’m not real sure where this dream came from. I have narrowed it down to two possible reasons. Reason number one is that I’m watching way to many commercials and reason two could be that because I don’t have any carpets, I want them. Who knows?? Hopefully tonight I will either not dream at all or my dreams will be of a normal nature.
My youngest son (soon to be eight) is very shy. When I say shy, I mean shy. When he was younger he used to hide under tables so that the waitresses at my old work wouldn’t see him. He is not quite as bad now, but he is still quite shy. But when he makes a friend, he makes this friend for life.
He has a little friend who is a year younger than him and they play at the bus stop every day. But if this friend isn’t at the bus stop for some reason, Daniel won’t stay. And if Daniel isn’t at the bus stop his friend won’t stay either. His little friend has been sick for a few days so he hasn’t been at bus stop. So Daniel goes home. But since they miss playing with one another his mother is going to bring him up to the bus stop when Daniel gets home just so they can play for a little while together. I really hope these two continue their friendship over the next few years because they are such good friends now and Daniel is quite shy when trying to make new ones.

Next week we have a realtor coming in to our home to assess how much would could get for it if we put it in on the market. Because we are thinking about selling and moving, I have decided putting off buying any of the new patio furniture that I have been wanting. I really don’t want to move anything extra from this home to another one if I don’t have to. So I have decided to keep the furniture that we already have for another season and hopefully by next season we will be moved into our new home and then I can make all the purchases I want.

I have been with Project Wonderful (which is an advertising program) since January. Now this program certainly won’t make you rich, but it is a nice source of passive income if you have a blog. All you need to do is sign up your blogs and then place their ad boxes in your sidebar. Then advertisers place bids to place their ads in your ad boxes. Once you have your ads set up, you can just leave it and forget it. The minimum payout is $10.00 and they will pay you this money in your paypal account once you reach this number.
So this is my update. Although it took me four months to get to the min payout, it didn’t require any amount of extra work on my part. I did get up to the minimum payout so I went into my account and requested payout. In less than 2 hours, I received the $10.00 in my paypal account. So..they do pay and it really isn’t any work to get this income.
That has been my experience with Project Wonderful so far.
