I did it!!

After over two years, yesterday I took the plunge and headed down to my local hairdressers. I got my hair cut!! If you knew me, you would know that this was a huge deal for me. I absolutely despise going the hairdressers and getting my hair cut. I dislike any stranger touching my head and I’m pretty sure that this is why I don’t go as often as I should. But, even I could see that I was beginning to look a little straggly.

When the hairdresser asked how much I would like taken off, I told her “A lot”. Then (kind of joking, but not really) I told her this way, I won’t have to come back for two more years. But I have to say that I did very well. It didn’t bother me like it normally does and I really do love the job she did. So I actually took her card and told her that I would be back (I still can’t believe I said that). But for the first time in almost 40 years I was very pleased with my hairdressing experience.

You are the only other person I know who HATES the hairdresser, I can’t stand going and when I absolutely have to I make my significant other go with me. He just doesn’t understand and I can’t explain to him the dreaded hate of hairdressers lol

I know how you feel. The only one who is allowed to touch my hear is my sister-in-law and she lives on the other side of the world. So it only gets cut when we go on holiday

You can go back before two years. After all, the hairdresser isn’t a stranger any more.
