I am only 5 feet 1 inch tall and I would love to be taller. But except for purchasing some platform shoes I don’t think my height is going to increase any time soon. Every time I see a tall woman, I get so jealous. I would love to be tall and thin like them. Other people have suggested to me that I should start wearing high heels, but there are two problems with this scenario. First of all, I’m not the type to walk around all dressed up in heels and second of all I have a very weak left ankle and past experience has taught me that wearing heels just isn’t worth the pain that I have to go through to achieve the look that I so desperately want. So, I guess I’ll have to put up with my current height and be happy that I’m at least over 5 feet tall. My mother wasn’t.

I honestly never thought that I would have to become one of these types of parents.  But after 8 months of being constantly lied to, I think it’s about time that I show my oldest son a little bit of “tough love”.  For the past 8 months he has been living on his own.  He is constantly e-mailing me (no, I don’t have a phone number or mailing address for him) and asking for money.  He has come up with all sorts of reasons why he needs this money and up until today I have been giving it to him.  But, the money well has run dry.

He e-mailed me today with a story about needing this money to come home for a couple of days.  The reason why I don’t believe this is because he gave me the same song and dance a couple of months ago and when I sent him the money, he didn’t come home or even give me an explanation why he didn’t come home.  So even though I would like to help him out, I honestly don’t have any more extra money to throw his way.  I guess he’s going to have to come up with something on his own.
