Homemade Jewelry for Sale

Published by Kim under crafts

As most of you know, I have been slowly trying to get my home crafting business up and running. It’s been a slow process, but things are finally starting to come together. I started a new website and blog over at Simply Crafting where I display my products and crafts that I currently have for sale or have sold. So far I have made and sold a quilt and now I have several pieces of jewelry on the site as well. Below you will see just an example of some of the products that I have on sale over at this site.

If there is anything here you are interested in or anything that is listed for sale over at Simply Crafting that suits your fancy, just let me know and maybe we can work something out.

Off to the doctor’s

Published by Kim under health, kids

It’s been a week since my daughter was diagnosed with phenomia.  Well it doesn’t seem like she is getting better and she is still not in school.  So, I have made her a doctor’s appointment and she will be going to see him at 6:30 tonight.  Hopefully he will be able to tell me what is going on her and how we can get her better again.  On another note, since we are headed in that direction anyway, I have made an appointment for myself as well.  For the past week, I have barely had a voice, sore throat and have been running a fever on and off.  So, I figured since we will be in the building anyway, why not have him take a look at me as well and hopefully soon I will be feeling better as well.  I’ll be sure to pop by tomorrow to let you all know how her and I both make out tonight.

Change in plans

Published by Kim under family, entertainment, kids

This past weekend we had every intention of taking the kids to see the Santa Clause parade.  But, it didn’t quite work out that way.  Saturday turned out to be a very cold and windy day and we decided that it was just too cold and windy for our daughter to be standing outside for an hour and a half.  She is just getting over phenomena and we didn’t want to see her have a relapse.  So instead we took the kids to the movies.  They finally got to see “The B Movie”.  My son was OK with this turn of events, but my daughter took some convincing.  When she finally realized that it would be better for her health to go to the movies instead of standing in the cold, she was OK with the situation.  There is another Santa Clause parade in December in the town that my husband’s father lives in, and if the kids are feeling good, we will take them to that.  But, we are not telling them any of this just in case.

Help with math

Published by Kim under kids, School

After seeing my daughter’s home report, I am extremely thankful that there is a program available called Math Tutors to help kids out that need a little help in this area. Her math marks weren’t as good as I would have liked, so I am going to enroll her into this awesome program. She will be able to get all the extra help that she needs and will be able to improve her math grade by the time the next report cards come out. I have talked to some friends of mine that have already been involved with this program, and they have had nothing but good things to say about it. It is because of their recommendations, that I have decided that this is the best route to take to help my daughter.

I could make a fortune

Published by Kim under kids

No not really. lol  But, if there was a way that I could bottle up my youngest son’s energy and sell it, I would be rich!!  I have never met a child (ever) in my lifetime that has as much energy as he has.  He is constantly on the go and I am constantly having to speak to him to slow things down, take a breath and relax a bit.  I honestly don’t know how he does so well in school as far as sitting still and listening because at home, he just can’t seem to take it easy.  So, this is why if there was anyway possible to bottle energy and sell it, I would be a very rich mamma.  And, don’t worry if I were to bottle his energy, he would still have plenty left over for himself.  He tires me out just looking at him.

Upcoming art event

Published by Kim under family, entertainment

With the Christmas season in full gear during the month of December, it’s always nice for people to find other things to do to escape the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. This is why I would like to tell you all about a monthly even that takes place the first weekend of every month in America’s oldest city. This event is called the St. Augustine Artwalk and during this artwalk, all types of art and entertainment are celebrated. This event is completely free! They offer free parking, sightseeing and trolley tours. The amount of entertainment is really endless and you have your pick of any event that interests you. They have painting, photography, music and so much more.

If I were able to participate in this monthly event of the First Friday Weekend Art Walk I would dearly love to participate in their free sightseeing and trolley tours. I think this would be an amazing way to be able to experience all the art culture that this amazing city has to offer. So, if you would like a break from all the Christmas excitement and were looking for an event to enjoy with the entire event, why not drop by this event during the first week of December and discover all the art and attractions that this city has to offer.

It’s going to be a quiet day at my house today

Published by Kim under family, health

Well the kids are happy today. It is going to be a very quiet day at my house today. The reason for this is because I can’t talk. No seriously I can’t. I have laryngitis. So, if I can’t talk then I can’t yell either. So this is why they will be happy. They can pretty much do anything they want to do and all I can do is whisper at them. How much fun is that?? But, I am happy to say that my voice has nothing to do with my blogging or crafts so I will still be around and keep busy. Thankfully it’s my voice that’s gone and nothing to do with my hands! I would be so….lost!

I received an invitation.

Published by Kim under family, entertainment

My youngest niece is participating in her first communion. So, I was quite happy to see that my sister-in-law has been mailing out her first communion invitations. This is a very huge deal for my niece and I’m really hoping that all the family members that received this invitation in the mail will attend. But, with my family you never know. At least, though, my entire family will be there to support her as I think this is a pretty big step for anyone to make and they deserve all the encouragement and support that they can get.
