The fall season is straight ahead

Published by Kim under home

With the fall season soon upon us, I have been looking for ways to try to keep our home warm during the cold fall and winter months. One site that supplies some heaters that would most certainly keep our home warm can be found over at products.desatech.com. Over at this site you can find just about any heater you could possibly ever need for your home. Not only do they have the biggest selection of heaters that I have found on the Internet, but they also supply accessories for your heater such as vent free gas logs. One of their products that I’ve been looking at possibly purchasing is a fireplace. Not only will this product contribute greatly to the look of our home, but it will also keep our family toasty warm in those cold winter months. So, if you would like to purchase any type of heater for your home and would like to check out a site that has a wide variety of units to choose from, then I highly recommend that you check out this site and see how they can assist you with all your heating needs.

Dresser day

Published by Kim under home

Today I have started going through mine, my husband’s and my two kids dressers.  I have decided to take out all the clothes that don’t fit us any more and for my husband and I, I have been discarding everything that we haven’t worn in well over a year. I’ve got quite the mess going on right now in my hallway as that is where I’ve been throwing everything, but I’m sure the end result will pay off. Not only will we all have more room in our dressers, but I now have more much needed fabric to finish making the two kid’s quilts. I use all their old clothes to make them each a crazy quilt and I think that I now finally have enough material to finish what I started so long ago.

Were going to the bank

Published by Kim under home

I am just so excited and nervous.  We have an appointment today at our bank for 2:00.  We are going to see if we can get a pre-approved mortgage to see if we qualify for a mortgage for a new home.  As this is our first mortgage, I am a little nervous.  I’m sure we will pre-qualify for something, but it’s making me quite nervous wondering just how much they will lend us.  This particular number will determine what type of house we will be able to buy and in approximately what location we should start looking at.  So even though I’m quite nervous, I’m also quite excited as this is the first time we will be going through this experience and I’m not quite sure what to expect.

For all you Coke addicts out there

Published by Kim under general

Everyone knows that Coca Cola is one of the best soft drinks on the market. They now have come out with a new product called Coke zero that is rumored to be one of the hottest selling products on the market today. The main reason for this is because of the real taste but zero sugar. Right now Coke has a large advertising campaign going on called Life as it should be and they want you to become a part of it. All you need to do is go to their site, make your own mini movie and submit it to their site. Who knows, your movie may just be rated the highest among all the participants.

It’s nice to be appreciated

Published by Kim under blogging, friends

As you all know I’ve been doing some mini reviews for some of my friends over at blog catalogue. Well one person’s blog that I reviewed and thoroughly enjoyed was Charlotte’s blog. Charlotte is a free lance writer and on her blog, she shares all her tips and advice to her success. Well, she appreciated my efforts so much that she dedicated an award to me. She awarded me the “thoughtful blogger award”. I honestly didn’t do these reviews to receive any compensation back, but it sure was a great feeling to know that at least one blogger appreciated all my hard work. Thank you so much Charlotte. You’ll never know in a million years how happy and appreciative I am for this!

A new school year is just beginning

Published by Kim under kids, School

Last year my youngest son who was in grade 1 was assessed at reading below his grade level. So, we got him some tutoring and he managed to bring his reading skills up to grade level. So this year I am going to keep a close watch on his reading level, and as soon as I see any problems, I am going to immediately enroll him into an Innovative Tutor program. This is a wonderful program for any child from the age of 4 to 14. If they have any academic difficulties what so ever, this program can and will help them to get back on track. Not only is a program like this good for the child’s academic career, but because they help them with their learning skills, this type of program also help boost their self confidence which helps them in other areas of their lives.

He grew!!

Published by Kim under kids, School

If you knew my son you would know exactly why I am so pleased with this.  When he started kindergarten, he went to school in size 3 pants.  Yes, he was the smallest person in the school and he now has developed the nick name “little Daniel”.  If any teacher or student is talking about him and say “little Daniel” everyone knows exactly who their talking about.  Last year in grade 1 he headed off to school in size 4 pants.  This year he will be stepping out the door in size 5 pants and size 6 shirt.  This is why I am so happy.  He is 7 and is finally starting to sprout.

I love him dearly and wouldn’t care if he were a size 3 for the rest of his life, but his size is starting to bother him so this is why I am excited for him.  He was so happy that we finally had to buy him new clothes.  Not because his other ones were worn out, but because he outgrew them.  I haven’t been able to say that in awhile.

Were on the home stretch

Published by Kim under kids, School

I can’t believe that the summer vacation season is almost over.  It seems like just yesterday the kids were getting out of school and looking forward to a long summer break.  I have to say that we had an awesome summer.  It was probably one of the best summers in a very long time and I can’t believe that it’s almost over.  The summer flew right by and with two small kids at home I honestly thought that it would drag on forever.  But, now it’s time to go back to school and get back into a routine.  The kids are looking forward to going back and in one weeks time they will both be sitting back in classes.  I enjoyed spending a lot of time with them this summer, but like the kids I am looking forward to them going back.

Published by Kim under general

The Internet is such a valuable tool for looking up information and with sites like distance search yellow pages it has never been easier or faster to find things that you are looking for.
