Thinking Outloud

My niece who is still quite young has been talking about getting plastic surgery. She has been very dissatisfied with some of her body parts for most of her life and has decided that now she wants to do something about it. I have tried to talk her out of it because of the fact that she still is quite young and I think will a little more age and maturity she made regret this decision later down the road in life. But she is adamant that this is the course that she wants to take so I have told her that she should look into the Beverly Hills plastic surgery site to get the very latest updates and information on this type of procedure.

Four weeks ago, my oldest son who is 18 went away to a different province to learn the french language. The government paid for most of this course through their student bursary program. During the past four weeks he has been having a blast. I just hope he’s learning what he is supposed to. LOL Well, this morning I got an e-mail from him stating that he will be staying an extra week. This costs a bit more money, but if he’s having fun and learning something then I say why not. You are only 18 once in your life time, so why not make the best of it while you can. So, I’m off to the bank to put more money in his account so he can stay for one more week.

My husband and I have been discussing about trading in my car for a small truck. Now that we have been camping a lot we would like to trade in our camping trailer for a bigger one. But to do this, we need to have a truck of some sort to be able to haul a bigger unit. I swear my kids could go anywhere and make friends.  Especially my daughter.  She doesn’t think twice about walking up to someone and asking them their name and asking them how old they are.  My son is a little more reserved than this, but once his sister clears the way, he doesn’t have any problems asking the children he just met if they want to play with him.  I really like this as it shows that my children are extremely friendly and it doesn’t matter to them who the other person is, they are willing to be friends.

It’s too bad that adults can’t be more like kids.  Imagine if we were like them and just opened up to people.  Just imagine how many friends we could possibly have.

As you all are aware, a couple of months ago I stopped working outside the home and decided to become a stay at home mom (at least for the summer).  As I was employed for them for the past six and half years, when the opportunity presented it’s self, I jumped on it.  Well, today my old boss gave me a call to inquire if I would be interested in coming back.  Apparantely they have been having some staffing problems and would really like it if I would reconsider my decision about not working there.  I told her that although I was flattered, right now I had no intentions of going back to work anywhere.  But, if I decided in the future that I would be interested in going back, I would certainly give her a call.  But it gave me a really good feeling knowing that I must have been a pretty good employee if they are calling to try to talk me into coming back.

Forty three years ago today my parents walked down the aisle in a small countryside church and said I do.  I would love to say that on this day that they are enjoying the love to share together but unfortunately I can’t say that as three years ago they both passed away.  My dad passed away in July and my mom in December.  But before either one of them had gone they had celebrated 40 long years together.  Most families these days cannot claim this to be so in their families.  So this is a unique and special thing to be able to have.  But with both of them gone now, today is a day for reflection.  I can sit back and remember the wonderful years with lots of love the had together and hopefully other’s will remember (in their memory) as well.

Yes we were able to go camping this weekend and no, it didn’t rain for once, but I have to say that it was probably our most disappointing experience in the camping world so far.  This weekend we went to the same campground that we normally go to with high expectations but were highly disappointed.  We were unable to get our usual location as they were pretty much booked solid so we had to go somewhere else a little more out of the way.  This wasn’t too awful bad except the people that we had next too us were sever partiers and we had a difficult time getting the children to sleep among all the yelling, screaming and swearing.  At one point during the evening there was even a fight.

So, because of this experience this weekend if we go camping I think we will try a different camp site and hopefully have a better experience.  If we find another spot that we like just as well as this campground any time we decide to go camping we will reserve first, this way we will know we will at least get a fairly quite site where the children can enjoy themselves and go to sleep when they need to.

When I think back to my life about eight months ago, I can’t imagine not blogging.  Since then I have set up a few blogs, dismantled a few as I wasn’t really happy with the look of them and then set up a few more.  I have since learned that the best type of service to go with when setting up a blog is through a paid hosting service.  They are better as they increase in pr faster and are less likely to be shut down in the future.

So, through one of my paid hosting sites, I just set up three sub domains.  I haven’t really decided what I’m going to do with them at this moment, but if they are successful and obtain a good amount of readership they may be used to replace a couple of my free hosting sites.  So, although I thought this would be my final blog that I put my heart and soul into, once again I changed my mind and decided to try out sub domains and see how they work for me.

I’m not really computer savey, but I’m learning. I recently discovered a site at photobucket.com where you can upload pictures off your pc and download them into this site and hopefully if all goes right (but probably not for me) upload them on to your blogs. So, I have decided to make this a test photo and see if this will work out for me.

Hopefully when I’m finished with this post you all will see a picture. If not, it’s back to the drawing board for me. But, I am certainly having fun playing around with this site and hopefully my efforts will be successful in the end. Let me know what you all think.
