My house is such a mess and I don’t care. I haven’t been able to get very much done these past few days as it’s been way, way to hot to do anything inside. We are right in the middle of a massive, record breaking heat wave. And since I live in a mobile home, the heat in here is unbearable. But it’s supposed to end sometime this weekend. So I think I will be able to start getting things done once again. As soon as it’s cool enough in this house I’m going to clean the kid’s rooms and sort out all their toys and then I’ll take it from there.

Well as you all can see I’m home once again this weekend. This is another weekend that my husband has to work this summer so once again we are pretty limited to what we can do. So I guess I’ll end up cleaning the toilets, re-arranging my craft room and doing some blog posts. Sounds like fun now doesn’t it?? Oh well, maybe we can do something fun tomorrow. If not, I guess this will give me a real good opportunity to start working on my crafting business.

I can hardly believe that there is less than two weeks left of the kids summer vacation. I for one am very pleased with this, but my two kids not so much. My daughter is looking forward to going back to school sort of, but my youngest son not so much. So I have a lot of work that I need to get done before these final two weeks are over. I still have a few supplies to purchase for them and will need to start buying stuff for their school lunches. But the time is slowly coming to an end. So in about two weeks time I will be one happy lady.

As you’ve probably noticed I really haven’t been doing very much blogging this summer. Between having the kids home for the past couple of months (with my son playing his stainless steel drums) and all the beautiful weather that we’ve been having I really haven’t felt like being tied to my computer. But… the kids do go back to school in about three weeks time so I’m thinking that things might get back to normal by then. With the kids in school and the weather not quite so nice hopefully I’ll be back to blogging like a fool once again.

My daughter absolutely loves school. So for her to be home for nine weeks this summer is kind of driving her crazy. So I decided to see if I could find her something to do that required learning. Well I discovered a site online where she could participate in some sat prep courses. I thought this was a great idea. Not only will she be able to have something to do with her down time, but the learning she will be able to engage in will certainly help her down the road. This is a perfect site for anyone who is interested in getting ahead in their educational pursuits.

Five years ago my oldest brother moved about 1000 miles away. I have not seen him since. We do stay in contact over the phone and through e-mails but that really isn’t the same as being able to have a conversation face to face now is it. Well yesterday I got a very shocking phone call. They were in New Brunswick and were coming to visit! I had a beautiful visit with my brother and his wife. And since it could be another five years before I see him again, I’m really going to treasure that visit. I’m just so pleased that I finally got to spend time with him once again and hopefully it won’t be another five years before we get to do it again.

Well once again here it is Friday. Well the weatherman is calling for some seriously nice weather this weekend so it should be a good weekend. My husband is supposed to have the weekend off (fingers crossed) and if he does, we plan on taking the kids camping. Even at this late date I will not make any plans as I won’t know until he comes home tonight if he does actually have the weekend off. If he doesn’t we’ll still find something fun for the kids to do. But I really hope he has it off so we can go camping at least one more time this season.

I have been employed at the same family restaurant as a waitress for the past ten years. I did take about a year and a half off but then went back. Well I’m thinking about leaving again. I really don’t work a whole lot of hours there anymore and I have been thinking that I could probably supplement that income quite well working from home. Not only would I not have to leave the house for six or eight hours a week, but I would also be able to get away from all the security cameras as well.

Most days I really do like my job but things are starting to change there and I’m starting to not like going to work as much any more. I have given myself a month to make a decision. And once I do, you’ll be the first to know.

Monday is a provincial holiday. So that makes it so that we have a long holiday weekend starting tonight. Now this really doesn’t mean very much for my husband and I as he is on call this weekend so he probably will end up working. I’m just hoping that we might be able to squeeze a little fun into the weekend anyway. I do have some plans to take the kids school clothes shopping. There’s a sale on ecco shoes that I really want to take advantage of. And I’m hoping (fingers crossed) that we might be able to squeeze one night of camping in.
