Yes we are due for another snowstorm sometime this evening. I’m hoping it doesn’t start until after I get home from work. And then I really don’t care what we get. But if we get what their calling for I’m pretty sure the kids will be home from school tomorrow as it is supposed to turn quite messy. We are supposed to get a pile of snow tonight and then tomorrow morning it’s supposed to change to ice pellets, then freezing rain and then rain. So we won’t keep any of this snow but it will make for a very wicked bad day anyway. So…. I guess I’ll just have to keep my fingers crossed and hope it doesn’t start until my entire family (myself included) is safe and snuggled in for the night.

First I came down sick with the flue (for the first time in five years) and now both my husband and my youngest son are home sick with the flue. So it’s been really fun in my house these past couple of weeks (not). I had quite a few plans on getting things done here around the house but with two sick people home for the past couple of days not much of this work has been getting completed. Oh I have been able to get a bit of my tillman gloves articles wrote but as far as any housework getting done, nope that hasn’t happened. They have been sleeping quite a bit of these past couple of days so I am really trying to be very quiet in the activities I do. I think they are both feeling a bit better so hopefully they will get back to their normal routines soon and that will mean that I will be able to get back to mine soon as well.

My children certainly are not going to be pleased with me this weekend. I have plans for them and they are not going to like it. I have gotten tired at looking at their messy and cluttered rooms and have decided that this would be a great weekend for the two of them to clear them out. My son has a lot of broken toys and stuff that he doesn’t use like cheap yo yos and things like that and my daughter’s room is full of papers. I swear that kid keeps everything! So they are going to be in for a little surprise this weekend. By the time their done I expect to have a lot more garbage piled up in my porch. Only then I will be happy with the looks of their rooms.

Here we go again. Once again I have decided to tackle my craft room. Over the past year or so my husband has been tossing his stuff in my room and I really haven’t been able to work in it comfortably. So I have decided to move out all his junk and once again get my craft room back to the way I want it. Yes, I know it’s taken me a year to work myself up to this point, but I guess later is better than never. I don’t know, maybe if I had some beautiful cabin furniture to put in it I would have the motivation to get it done faster. But it’s got to get done. So I plan on doing a little bit every day until I get the room looking the way I want it to. Once this is complete you can just bet that I will NEVER allow my husband to fill up my room with his stuff ever again.

I’ve got both kids home today. Not by their choice or mine. Last night we had a major snowstorm so of course I though school would be cancelled today. But to my surprise it wasn’t. They did delay the buses an hour so work crews could improve the roads a bit better. So an hour after they normally leave I sent them out the door and got ready for my day. Well let me tell you all I was a little surprised when they both arrived back home about 20 minutes later. They missed the bus. Since it’s Friday and the roads still aren’t the best I decided not to drive them and let them stay home. My son was okay with this situation but my daughter certainly was not! She had a major hissy fit and went into her room. She loves school and hates to miss even one way. But she’s okay now and seriously one day isn’t going to hurt them. Hopefully Monday will be a better day. But until then they both have a long weekend.

Tomorrow is the big day. After over two weeks of being home the kids are going back to school tomorrow. And I for one can not wait! I think my daughter is looking forward to going back but I know my son certainly is not. But vacation time is over and they will be on that school bus first thing in the morning. Then I can get back into a routine of some sort again. Yes, I’ll miss being able to sleep in in the mornings. But if it means I have the house back to myself during the day again then I think I can start getting up early again. So vacation is over, kids will be back in school and this mommy will be extremely happy!

Man, it’s been really cold lately. Not quite the type of weather where I’m thinking about pool safety covers or anything like that. We really haven’t had a major amount of snow, but we have had a lot of cold weather. Honestly folks I would rather have the snow than the cold. But I think it’s only going to get worse before it gets any better. It could be worse I suppose. We live in a nice warm house and don’t have to go out if we don’t want to.

Finally I have a day to myself once again where I can get all my work done. I had both the children home over the weekend and then on Monday my youngest son was home sick from school. And to top it off, my husband came home early from work on Monday and informed me that he had a couple of days off. So I’ve had him underfoot for the past couple of days. And… when I tell you all that I can’t get a blessed thing done when he’s home, that’s no exaggeration. But… today is a new a day. Both kids are back in school, my husband is back to work and I have the day to myself. Hopefully I get a lot accomplished today as next week I won’t have any time to do anything and the work really does need to get done today.
